Things to do in Zoige

Online ticketing is very convenient for the attractions along the Sichuan-Gannan Grand Loop! After taking the escalator up to the mountaintop for the view, I recommend walking down the wooden boardwalk for the rest of the journey. However, the parking lot for the escalator is quite far from the entrance! There's no shuttle bus either! Ultimately, we had to split up: one person went down the stairs to get the car, and the other walked down the boardwalk. The experience was just so-so!

The scenery is truly beautiful. The weather was great the day I went, so the scenery was absolutely gorgeous. The lake, the flower-filled lake, and the ecological environment are simply amazing. There's a commercial street right outside with all sorts of food options, which is very convenient.

🌿 What a magical place Ruoergai is! Located in Aba Prefecture, Sichuan Province, "Ruoga" in Tibetan means "the happy home of yaks." Namo Grand Canyon, Gannan's most underrated hiking gem! Passing through Langmusi and Galdan Monastery, and following the source of the Bailong River upstream, you'll enter this hidden canyon deep in the plateau. Autumn is the perfect time to visit; the leaves on both sides turn golden, drifting into the stream like a golden carpet. The canyon trek is truly thrilling and fun—walking along the stones by the stream, the crystal-clear water is refreshingly cool, and you might accidentally step into it—the whole journey is full of wild charm. At the large meadow, chubby marmots roam freely, not shying away from people, their adorable antics are endearing. If you're lucky, you might even spot eagles circling overhead. The scenery is breathtaking: blue skies, white clouds, alpine meadows, and babbling brooks create a stunning panorama. The further you go, the more magnificent the scenery becomes, with majestic mountains shrouded in mist—every snapshot is a masterpiece. The entire hike takes about 3-4 hours and is suitable for all ages. It's a much better experience than those popular tourist attractions and is definitely the most beautiful canyon scenery in my heart!

Gelug Monastery is one of the largest and most influential monasteries of the Gelug sect in Aba, Sichuan. It has a Buddhist college and 18 branch temples. The courtyard-style Buddhist temple complex consists of 13 large and small halls. You can overlook and take photos of the panoramic view of the temple from the hillside behind the temple.

The scenic area is pet-friendly. Since it is relatively small, there are not many tourists. There are large areas of wild flowers and lawns in the scenic area. There are also hot springs suitable for soaking in to relieve fatigue. You can also see the whole picture of the scenic area from the top of the mountain.
