_CF***12The aquarium, though small, was definitely worth a visit. The tickets were also inexpensive. The kids saw mermaids, sea otters, walruses, and other species they don't usually see, and even got to see penguins walking up close. We adults even touched an octopus, which was a lot of fun. We bought a lot of souvenirs, even though they were a bit pricey, because they were all so cute. We especially loved the gashapon toys we won! Note that the line for the sea otters is very long; we waited 40 minutes even on a weekday. Once you get in, the time to see them is too short, and there's no time to queue again. I recommend arriving early, just as it opens. We arrived after 11 am, which was a bit late. The entire visit, from entry to closing time, is still very fulfilling.

Neztanit is definitely a must visit when you were in Nagoya. Especially if you are traveling with teens. The amusement park has more than 50 rides and even the famous steel dragon roller coaster. For my hubby that does not like amusement rides. he spent the whole day at the Mitsui outlet park which is located just outside the theme park.

ZhofikiPeaceful and spiritual experience, perfect on a weekday!I visited Ise Jingu on a weekday morning in November, and it was incredibly serene. Almost no foreign tourists, and even Japanese visitors weren’t too many during daytime on a weekday — it felt like I had the whole sacred forest to myself. The atmosphere is truly special, with huge ancient trees and pure air. Perfect for forest bathing and just slowing down.Started from Geku (Outer Shrine), which was very quiet and beautiful, then took the bus to Naiku (Inner Shrine). The bus between Geku and Naiku gets quite crowded (especially around 10-11am), and trains (Kintetsu or JR) don’t run very frequently, so transportation is honestly the weakest point. I recommend planning your schedule carefully or having some buffer time.But the best part? Everything is completely free! No entrance fee at all. You can spend hours walking the gravel paths, sitting on benches, listening to the wind and river — it’s incredibly healing. Oh, and don’t miss Oharai-machi and Okage-yokocho near Naiku — great for lunch and souvenirs.Highly recommend coming on a weekday if you want that peaceful, authentic Shinto experience without the crowds. Just be prepared for a bit of hassle with transportation.

游侠半仙Check in to Ise Toyosuke Daijingu Shrine. Coming out of Ise JR Station is Toyosuke Daijingu Omotesando. A few hundred meters away is Daijingu Shrine. Photography is not allowed inside Daijingu Shrine. The main hall has a unique architectural style known as the Kumano style, and contains various valuable materials such as the Kumano Gongen Mandala, an important national cultural item, and the documents of Kumano Nachi Taisha. The main deity of Nachi Taisha is Kumano Fusumi Okami. On the 15th of every month, the shrine is cleansed. On that day, the clergy will use mountain spring water to mix amulet salt and wash the Buddha statue. This custom has been passed down for centuries.

We also watched a female divers show, which was performed every hour regardless of the weather or season. The female divers did not use any diving equipment to dive to the bottom of the sea to salvage.
