#holidayitinerary **Lush Tracks and Raft Drops at Okere Falls**
Bay of Plenty, New Zealand
Okere Falls is such a fun little spot, especially if you’re into a mix of nature and action. The walking trail is super easy and follows the Kaituna River through heaps of greenery, with cool lookouts over the falls and rapids. It’s all really lush and peaceful, but the best part is watching the whitewater rafters drop over Tutea Falls. It’s like a surprise rollercoaster in the forest.
The main loop only takes about 30 minutes if you're strolling, but you’ll want to stop and watch the water and maybe even spot glowworms if you're around at dusk. The old hydro station ruins along the trail are also cool to check out.
There’s a little car park near the main entrance and a public toilet. No food or drink stalls around though, so pack your own if you’re hanging out for a bit. Okere Falls is lowkey and super chill, with just enough excitement to keep things interesting.
