Introduction Beachcombing in Rongcheng

Introduction
Some information may have been translated by Google Translate

Located at the easternmost tip of the Shandong Peninsula, Rongcheng has become a rare beachcombing destination in the north with its 493-kilometer coastline and 150,000 mu of tidal flat resources. The intertidal zone here has a fine and gentle mixed bottom of mud and sand, and forms a natural "marine ranch" after low tide, providing an ideal habitat for shellfish such as clams, razor clams, and crabs. With small shovels, net bags and other tools, tourists can explore hidden seafood in the sand and mud, and experience the fun of "digging and digging" treasure hunting.

The unique charm of this sea area lies not only in the gift of nature, but also in the deep integration of humanity and ecology. Visitors can feel the simplicity of Jiaodong's traditional dwellings; or appreciate the marine customs painted by fishermen and painters. The harvest from the sea can be processed directly in the fishing village restaurant, experience the original flavor of steamed clams, or try creative dishes such as steamed scallops with garlic vermicelli.

Weihai, a place that loves the sea because it is close to it

Weihai, a place that loves the sea because it is close to it

First of all, in general terms, Weihai's tourism resources are mainly divided into two parts: one is the part of Weihai city, and the other is the part from Xianghai to Chengshantou. In fact, coastal tourist cities all have one thing in common, which is that their tourism resources or tourist attractions are all along the coast. Of course, Weihai is no exception, and Weihai's tourism resources are also basically along the coast.

To go or not to go to Jīmíng Island, this article will clear your doubts! Including a guide

About the Xianghai·Jīmíng Island from the show 'Where Are We Going, Dad?', many people ask me if they should visit. I've looked online and there are many opinions. Some say it's 'so beautiful it leaves you speechless', while others say 'don't come at all'. Whether to go or not, I'll clarify in this article. 💖First, let's talk about Jīmíng Island vs Hǎi Lǜ Island vs Liúgōng Island Natural and chic📍Jīmíng Island🎫128: Pure natural scenery, main attractions include the horizon, cliffs, reefs, lighthouse, cliffside café, chapel, fishing village, etc.; accommodation available; small island area, steep slopes; half-day tour. Boat tour around the island📍Hǎi Lǜ Island🎫120: No landing on the island, take a boat around it, feed seagulls and enjoy the scenery from the boat, takes about Red culture📍Liúgōng Island🎫122: Nature + culture, the natural scenery is not as good as Jīmíng Island, main attractions include the Jiawu War Exhibition Hall, Dingyuan Ship, iron anchor sculpture, etc.; accommodation available; larger island area; more than half a day needed for the tour. 💟In summary, if you like natural scenery→Jīmíng Island, if you want to learn about history and culture→Liúgōng Island, if you don't want to land on the island and just want to take a boat ride and play with seagulls→Hǎi Lǜ Island. 💖Next, let's talk about the detailed guide to Jīmíng Island: 🎫Boat ticket: 128/person, 10-minute boat ride, free for children under 1.2m; boats leave when full during holidays; during the May Day period, there were no queues for entering or leaving the island at 12 pm, ask at the ticket window for the last boat time, this time it was 17:10 🚗Self-driving: Navigate to Xianghai·Jīmíng Island Visitor Center, free parking 🚌Bus: Weihai Bus Station→Jīmíng Island, 60 minutes total, ticket price 8 yuan/seat, search 'Weihai Bus Station' on Vx for tickets 🐚Route: No need to plan specifically, just follow the road and you'll see everything Disembark→Cliffside Book Bar→Auditorium Building→Fishing Village (with family-run seafood restaurants)→Island Reefs→Cliffside Café→Island Lighthouse→Sun Viewing Platform→Flat Stone→Return to Boat→Cape Art Gallery 🥗Dining: There are many family-run seafood restaurants in the fishing village, with home-style dishes and seafood, clean and fresh, about 50 yuan per person 🌟Tips: The island is small, no need for a sightseeing car; lots of slopes, try not to carry heavy items 💰Expenses: Face painting for kids 9.9; a bag of small crabs 20 yuan; a drink 9.9; cliffside café 58 per cup; two bundles of sausages 15; 🗺️Surroundings: After leaving the island, it's recommended to go to Little Five Teams Embrace Sea Post or Bluewise Shipwreck or Xianghai Diamond Beach, dig in the sand, play in the water, watch the sunset, a perfect day trip 📮Just got back from the trip, while I still remember everything, feel free to ask questions

Head east from Weihai and you'll find a vast ocean and endless sky.

Head east from Weihai and you'll find a vast ocean and endless sky.

🌟Jiming Island is a famous attraction in Weihai. According to research, this isolated island was formed during the Ming Dynasty, over 400 years ago. It is shaped like a rooster, hence the name. It is a national 4A-level scenic area, and was the filming location for the Shandong episode of the 2013 hit variety show "Where Are We Going, Dad?" In 2017, it was selected as one of Shandong Province's "Beautiful and Livable Villages." 🚌It is less than 40 km from Weihai city center. You can board a boat at Hutoujiao Wharf, and the journey takes about 20 minutes. 🏝The island is small, and Gulangyu Island is several times larger. It is not overly commercialized, and still retains the original state of an isolated fishing village. There are not many famous attractions, and the main selling point is escaping the pressures of modern society and immersing yourself in the idyllic fishing village. 📌There are not many things to pay attention to, but you should remember the basics of visiting an isolated island: pay attention to the weather and the time of your return journey.

The water is clear, the sand is fine, and there are few people - perfect for a family trip to Rongcheng! Superb!

The water is clear, the sand is fine, and there are few people - perfect for a family trip to Rongcheng! Superb!

After the first trip with my parents and child, we aimed for a laid-back vacation. The Min Rongcheng Ni's Haitai Resort Hotel boasts a prime location, embracing the sea with only 15 meters to the coastline, a natural oxygen bar with 60-year-old trees, and a vast black pine forest! There is no direct high-speed train from Hangzhou to Rongcheng, so we chose to transfer in Zibo and took the opportunity to start the trip with my parents. It is quite convenient to get to Rongcheng within Shandong Province, with the high-speed train from Zibo to Rongcheng taking about 2-3 hours. Upon arrival in Rongcheng, taxis are the main mode of transportation. Ni's Haitai Resort Hotel: The hotel has its own beach. When doing research, many people said that Ni's was a bit old, but compared to the Tianyu in Sanya, it really offers great value for money, with large sea-view rooms with big balconies, and the rooms are spacious enough. The hotel is divided into a south area and a north area, which mainly depends on personal needs. The sea-view rooms in the south area generally have bathtubs and scenic balconies and are said to be slightly newer. The sea-view rooms in the north area do not have bathtubs but offer a view of the hotel's church. We changed rooms for two nights, staying in the south and north areas for one night each. The hotel has a small indoor playground that is free to play, and overall, we preferred the rooms in the south area. Sightseeing: Basically, we just relaxed at the hotel. It takes about an hour by taxi from the hotel to the zoo and Jiming Island, and my child wasn't very interested. Rongcheng Youth Palace: The architecture is quite unique. The science museum inside was not open, so we just admired the building and climbed to the top of the sky garden for a panoramic view of the beach. Next to it is Sakura Lake, where you can ride a small train or bicycles, which is very pleasant. The dry pot sea anemone was a bit hard to get used to, with a strong taste of the sea. Other than that, you can choose according to your own preferences.

Shandong·Weihai|One of the eight most beautiful coasts in China

|One of the eight most beautiful coasts in China. Today I recommend Weihai to you, a city born and thriving by the sea. Among so many coastal cities, only the sea of Weihai gives people a sense of ecological beauty. Let's take a look together, if you like it, collect it ➤Weihai Introduction Located at the eastern end of the Shandong Peninsula, the summer temperature in Weihai is only 23 degrees during the day, an absolute place for summer vacation and sightseeing. Weihai is surrounded by the sea on three sides, with a thousand miles of coastline, a landscape painting, this beautiful coastal city, mountains, sea, bay, beach, island, spring, river and other natural landscapes, make Weihai a city of ecology, rated by 'China National Geographic' magazine as 'One of the eight most beautiful coasts in China'. Many people mention Weihai, the first reaction is 'clean', worthy of being the first national sanitary city in China, with interlaced capes and bays, fine sand and clear water, lush pine forests, hot springs, a city full of flowers, mountains full of green, blue sky and white clouds, stars, the quiet and clean city environment, making it one of the most suitable cities for living in China ➤Attractions Introduction ❶Chengtou Mountain Known as the 'Cape of Good Hope in China', the earliest place to see the sunrise at sea in China, has been praised since ancient times as 'the place where the sun rises', the sun shines on the sea with sparkling waves, walking quietly along the seaside plank road, every frame in the eyes is so touching, making people linger ❷Liugong Island The first modern navy fleet in China was born here, famous for its beautiful natural scenery, the island is full of peaks and dense vegetation, looking far away at the green pines and cypresses, lush; has the reputation of 'sea fairy mountain' and 'paradise' ❸Weihai International Bathing Beach The most popular sea bathing beach in Weihai, with fine sand, gentle waves, fresh air, clear water quality, very suitable for swimming.
