Dressing Up in Tibetan Costumes in Dali – A Fun & Budget-Friendly Experience! 🏔📸✨

#favouriteitinerary #chinatrip One of the most unexpectedly fun things we did in Dali was renting Tibetan (Zang) costumes for a DIY photoshoot! Instead of going to a touristy studio, we found a random local shop offering rentals for just SGD, including makeup. With our Sony A6400 and a tripod, we took our own photos—and the results were amazing! How It Worked 👗 Costume Rental – The shop had a variety of beautiful Tibetan outfits with vibrant colors, intricate embroidery, and matching accessories. The shopkeeper helped us pick the best ones! 💄 Makeup Included – For the price, they also did our makeup, giving us a more authentic Tibetan look with bold eyebrows, red cheeks, and braids. 📸 DIY Photoshoot – Instead of paying extra for a photographer, we used our Sony A6400 + tripod to take our own shots. We found the best angles, adjusted the settings, and captured stunning portraits at different spots. Best Photo Spots We Found 🏔 Near Erhai Lake – The blue water and mountains made for a dramatic backdrop. 🏡 Xizhou Village – Traditional Bai-style architecture added a cultural touch to our shots. 🌾 Golden Rice Fields – The contrast between the colorful costumes and golden fields was breathtaking! Why This Was Such a Great Experience ✔️ Super Affordable – Just $20 for costumes + makeup compared to expensive studios. ✔️ Creative Freedom – We controlled our own shots with no time limits or pressure. ✔️ Beautiful & Unique Photos – The Tibetan costumes looked stunning against Dali’s landscapes. ✔️ Fun & Memorable – From dressing up to posing, the whole experience was so much fun! If you’re in Dali and want gorgeous travel photos without breaking the bank, I highly recommend renting Tibetan costumes and doing your own shoot.

Lhasa Guide | Tibetan Costume Experience: How to Avoid Pitfalls in One Minute

Lhasa Guide | Tibetan Costume Experience: How to Avoid Pitfalls in One Minute

| Tibetan Costume Experience: How to Avoid Pitfalls in One Minute. 📸 You must try a Tibetan costume photo shoot in Lhasa. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you avoid pitfalls. ❓ Where to shoot? 1⃣ Potala Palace or Barkhor Street? Both are great! Potala Palace is magnificent and iconic of Tibet, but it can be a bit monotonous and lacks a cultural atmosphere. Barkhor Street, with its Tibetan architecture and rich cultural landscape, offers more shooting scenes and content, allowing for more diverse styles, and it's less sunny! 2⃣ If you have a bigger budget, you can go for outdoor shoots at Paradise Grassland and Yamdrok Lake. Paradise Grassland requires a bit of hiking, but it offers great shots with horses, sheep, and tents. The blue Yamdrok Lake is even more beautiful, with sheep, horses, yaks, and the blue lake and sky, making for stunning photos. It's a bit far, about a 2-hour drive. ❓ Which studio to choose? ✅ There are many photo studios, and the prices are similar. My advice is to look at customer photos and find a style you like and suits you. Learn and choose scenes and poses you like. ❓ How to choose a photographer and makeup artist? ✅ Makeup and photography skills are important. Communicate with the makeup artist and photographer about your preferred makeup, style, and scenes. ❓ How to choose costumes? ✅ Light and elegant costumes are great for a sunny and sweet style, while dark costumes can create a cinematic or film-like feel. Choose based on your preference. 📸 Shooting tips: Avoid shooting at noon to avoid sun exposure (remember sunscreen!) and squinting in the bright sunlight. Choose morning or evening for softer lighting and better shadow effects. 💗 Finally, I hope you all get beautiful photos.
