According to locals, fukusaya has the best castella cake and it is the oldest castella bakery. You can buy it as a small piece of cake or a full block. The former cost 324yen, while the latter cost 2268yen for a full block of cake. I tried their small slice of castella and I immediately fell in love with it. It has a soft fluffy texture, with it being very fragant and delicious. It is best paired with coffee or tea and it is not overly sweet. Fukusaya's castella is awesome. Try it to believe it.
