The true treasure of San Diego is this park with an incredible atmosphere

Honestly, Balboa Park was my most unexpected surprise in San Diego. It is often tagged on Xiaohongshu as a filming location for "The Heirs," but once you step into the park, you'll realize the filming spots are just the tip of the iceberg. What truly captivates you are the Spanish-style buildings everywhere, the palm trees shining under the sun, and the leisurely vibe created by the art museums, fountains, and gardens. This is a place where you don’t need to rush your itinerary; just walking around is very chill. El Prado The central axis of Balboa Park. Both sides are lined with uniformly styled Spanish Revival buildings, perfect for beautiful photos anywhere you shoot. California Tower The park’s landmark. Bathed in sunlight, it exudes a Mediterranean charm; even if you don’t visit the exhibits, it’s worth passing by to admire. Alcázar Garden A small but exquisite garden with bright colors, very much giving off a Spanish palace vibe. The San Diego Museum of Art If you have time, you can go inside; if not, you can still take photos of the exterior. Lily Pond (filming location for "The Heirs") The composition of the pond, tropical plants, and Western-style buildings is very beautiful. Botanical Building The greenhouse behind the pond, with a wooden exterior that looks great, and a rich variety of plants inside. Casa Del Prado & Casa de Balboa Highly photogenic buildings with light and shadow changes perfect for street photography. Spanish Village Art Center An art village made up of colorful small houses, very fairy-tale-like, perfect for a leisurely stroll.
