Because of a window, I experienced a surreal art exhibition

Come to BAO ROOM to see Jin Yucheng's new exhibition "Silent." I was purely attracted by the super large floor-to-ceiling window view in the gallery. As for the creator Jin Yucheng, many people know him as the author of the novel behind the popular TV series "Blossoms" from a few years ago, but this exhibition reveals more of his other side as an artist. The exhibition showcases over 10 of Jin Yucheng's latest works, each like a window to another world, full of surreal metaphors and imagination. One of them is a self-portrait, where Mr. Jin wears red-framed glasses and covers his mouth with both hands, perfectly embodying the theme of "Silent." Besides the artworks, the most photogenic features of the venue are the spiral staircase that connects the entire floor and the super large floor-to-ceiling window in the gallery. The stepped chandelier hangs from the 8th floor down to the 2nd floor, and the winding spiral lines seem to extend the space infinitely. Standing in the center of the atrium, whether looking up or from an upward angle, it’s very photogenic. The gallery’s large window is a masterpiece itself—it acts like a natural picture frame, turning the distant skyline into a dynamic painting.
