Our family visited the Hengqin Flower Sea Corridor to see the kapok trees this weekend. We had lunch at Xiangyang Village. We've been a regular at Hengqin Commune for a while now. Many people seem to be unaware of this place. Actually, it's owned by the same person as Hengqin Commune. It's right across from Hengqin Commune! There's no trendy filter here; the exterior looks average. But the interior is very clean and tidy, and there are quite a few private rooms. There were even cute kittens cuddling at the entrance! The food came out quickly! A table full of Cantonese dishes! 😋 How can you come to Hengqin and not eat oysters? I order them every time! They were all plump and large; steamed with garlic and vermicelli was already delicious. The braised goose was definitely worth trying; it was very flavorful, and I kept thinking about it even after I got home. The older folks loved the steamed capon; the meat was firm but not dry, and even the skin wasn't oily. The original flavor is definitely the best! The salt-baked baby crab was full of crab roe; perfect for mixing with white rice! Also, the Chaoshan-style steamed pork that the proprietress gave us was so delicious, hahaha 🤤 -
