liujd01An authentic seafood restaurant, located at the intersection of Southwest Road in Xinghai Square Business District (Zone E). The environment is classy and the service is friendly. Steamed sea urchin, seafood porridge, steamed baby cabbage with garlic vermicelli are all very popular. The seafood is really fresh. I didn't dip it in sauce and just wanted to eat it in its original flavor. Steaming really retains the original flavor and it's not fishy, which is pretty good.

Today is a holiday, so I came to this new restaurant to have a good meal. It's a newly opened branch, haha. Their environment is very nice, the dishes are also delicious, and the taste is great, mainly seafood. I give it a thumbs up. I ordered a bottle of wine, which was quite delicious.
What to eat in Dalian? This article is enough! 📍Seafood Restaurant: A visit to Dalian is a must, as it's packed with local seafood! Conveniently located in Xinghai Square, this long-established seafood steamer restaurant boasts some of the best seafood in Dalian. Locals often host dinners here when their friends visit, as the seafood here is even fatter than what you'll find at the market and each one is incredibly fresh. The steaming process preserves the seafood's original flavor, allowing you to savor the natural flavors without adding any seasoning! The shrimp and crab seafood porridge is their signature dish. The porridge is made by allowing the juices from the various steamed seafood to flow into the rice below. Served with some crispy pickles, it's incredibly delicious. For a Dalian specialty, this is the place to go! 📍Nampodong Meat Shop: This is one of Dalian's most authentic barbecue restaurants. The owner, who studied in Korea, brought the best of both worlds to Dalian. This place's pork belly with pineapple or bamboo shoots is non-greasy and fragrant. The cheese corn, seaweed bibimbap, seafood pancakes, and various grilled meats are all delicious. The decor has a Korean street style, making it a great place for photos and check-in. 📍Yalu River Seafood BBQ Stall: Dalian locals are all familiar with this place. When it comes to seafood barbecue, they think of this place first. Besides barbecue, they also offer a variety of raw and marinated seafood, as well as seafood three-fresh noodles. I really like the spicy stir-fried baby abalone, which is flavorful and delicious. Raw Marinated Female Flying Crab: It melts in your mouth, retaining the crab's original flavor without any fishy smell. It's truly sweet and fresh, and the crab roe is particularly fragrant. Spicy Crayfish: The shell is thicker than crayfish, and the meat is larger and firmer, making it even more satisfying! For main course, order the Clam Rice. Every grain of rice is coated in the seafood sauce, and the sweet, fresh flavor is incredibly satisfying! 📍Changxianlou Sea Urchin Restaurant: Locals go here for sea urchin. The raw, live urchin meat is incredibly fresh and sweet, melting in your mouth, leaving a lingering aftertaste of the ocean. The Braised Sea Cucumber with Screw Peppers features sea cucumber, pork belly slices, and Hainanese screw peppers. It's delicious when mixed with rice! The sea urchin rice is also highly recommended. 📍Xianshengsheng Sushi: For Japanese food in China, look no further than Dalian. Dalian is home to many Japanese companies and a large number of Japanese people working there, resulting in a wealth of delicious and authentic Japanese restaurants. This specialty restaurant, tucked away in a small alley near Zhongshan Square, is a must-visit for entertaining important friends. The restaurant boasts an elegant ambiance, and the ingredients are all fresh and juicy. Dalian's wooden tram stops here, making it a great place for photo ops! Foie Gras Sushi: The rice is still warm in the hand, and the foie gras is rich in fat, melting in your mouth, leaving a lingering aroma. Sashimi: The various types of fish are all fresh, and the thick-cut salmon is rich in fat, tender and delicate, overflowing with freshness and fragrance. It's a truly satisfying experience! The staff are friendly and responsive. They even included a small bag of wasabi, soy sauce, napkins, and chopsticks in your takeaway bag. What a thoughtful touch!

4 Days 3 Nights Dalian Travel Diary Day 1: Landed around 11 AM. After a quick check-in at the hotel, I had my first meal in Dalian: TEN. Tianyi Cuisine (Highly recommended!! Fresh ingredients, delicious seafood rice, and excellent staff). Then I checked out two coffee shops (Rises Coffee is my top recommendation – their specialty drinks and desserts are amazing 😋). For dinner, I ate at Ji Hongda BBQ. Day 2: At the Qiyi Morning Market, I tried some local specialties, such as seaweed buns, chive boxes, and tofu pudding. The market also sells seafood and fruit. For lunch, I ate at Haiwei Dangjia. In the afternoon, I went to Silver Beach and took the Haida Cableway (Highly recommended; it runs from the north gate to the south gate of the zoo, a 20-minute ride with panoramic sea views). In the evening, I went to Xinghai Square to watch the sunset and feed the pigeons. For dinner, I ate at Zhenghuangqi (Highly recommended; it's a bit pricey, but otherwise perfect, and received rave reviews from my travel companions). Day 3: Dalian Shopping Mall (there's a whole street of food stalls on the first floor, selling chicken frames, noodles, side dishes, sausages, and many other things worth trying). In the morning, we went to Lingjiaowan (based on online recommendations, to photograph the colorful houses; not recommended on bad weather days, as it differs somewhat from the online pictures). We also visited Softree (highly recommended!!! You can sit there all afternoon, and the food is delicious). Day 4: We went to Dalian Shopping Mall again (I ate at some stalls I want to visit again, and bought some local specialties to take home). After checking out of the hotel, we went for a massage to experience the Northeastern bathing culture (Shuiyue Songjian is highly recommended; the environment is great, and the prices are reasonable). After the massage, we went to the mall to eat Wang Huijie's Open-Head Dumplings (as a native of the South, I highly recommend it; the dumpling skin is very chewy, and the sea urchin filling is very fresh). After eating, we went to the airport to catch our flight for moon viewing. Summary: Dalian is delicious and fun; I hope to have the opportunity to go again in the summer. Finally, I'd like to mention the hotel we stayed at: Atour Hotel (Dalian Municipal Government Dongguan Street Branch): Because we were traveling with a large group of family members, we decided to stay at a hotel with good value for money. This was my first time staying at an Atour, and I was truly amazed. I felt that Atour's service (I haven't stayed at other Atour hotels, so I'm not sure about them, but this one was particularly warm and attentive) was exceptional. Every staff member was incredibly kind and clearly had undergone professional service training, even surpassing many five-star hotels I've stayed in. This hotel was recently renovated and very new, convenient for getting around, and only a little over a kilometer from Zhongshan Square. The drinks in the room's mini-fridge (a can of Coca-Cola, two bottles of tea, and two small cookies were all complimentary); the slippers were also very comfortable; and the Atour Planet pillows were simply amazing, I won't go into detail about them 😴 #DalianTourism #DalianFood #AtourHotel @AtourGroup
