It seems that Diaolu Bing is only available in cities near Shenyang. I have never eaten it in other places. Maybe it has other names in other places. The biggest advantage of this thing is that it is economical, delicious and not expensive.

Four days in Shenyang were a nightmare! My consumer mindset was completely shattered 😭 Before coming to Shenyang, my understanding of "value for money" was limited to "shopping around to save a few dozen yuan." But in just four days, this old northeastern city completely overturned my "high-price inertia" cultivated in first-tier cities with its tangible consumer experience. Just after leaving Shenyang Station, I took a taxi to Zhongjie. The meter showed 23 yuan for the 12-kilometer journey. I instinctively asked the driver, "Are you undercharging?" The driver laughed heartily, "This is the fair price for taxis in Shenyang. Why waste money driving around the city!" This statement was repeatedly proven true throughout the rest of the trip: from Beiling Park to Taiyuan Street, a cross-district trip, it only cost a little over 30 yuan, allowing me, who was used to "taxi fares starting at 50 yuan," to finally achieve "taxi freedom." The surprise at the accommodations was even more unexpected. I booked a hotel with a view in the city center for 320 yuan per night. The room was spacious enough to do yoga, and it even had smart curtains and a panoramic bay window. The breakfast, a hearty Northeastern stew and freshly made dumplings, was steaming hot and even more delicious than homemade. Keep in mind that in my city, this price would only get you a dimly lit, outdated budget hotel. The difference was so huge I felt like I'd gotten a great deal. The food was even more amazing. At a stew restaurant in the old Beishi area, when the 68-yuan iron pot stewed pork ribs arrived, I was stunned by the pot—it was bigger than my face! The ribs were stewed until they were tender and falling off the bone, and the pot also contained corn, potatoes, and cornbread. The two of us ate until we were stuffed and still hadn't finished. The street market was even better: a bowl of tofu pudding with two fried dough sticks for 5 yuan, and three juicy donkey meat sandwiches for 10 yuan. The vendors were quick and efficient, always adding an extra spoonful of sauce—it was so heartwarming. The prices at tourist attractions were also incredibly reasonable. A 50-yuan ticket to Shenyang Imperial Palace allows you to explore the Grand Hall and the Ten Kings Pavilion, experiencing the grandeur of the Qing Dynasty imperial palace. An 80-yuan combined ticket to Zhang's Mansion includes views of Republican-era architecture and a free guided tour of historical anecdotes. Compared to the exorbitant prices of niche attractions in first-tier cities, Shenyang's tourism and cultural offerings are incredibly affordable. Over four days, an average of 1500 yuan per person ensured comfortable accommodations, satisfying meals, and a fulfilling experience. Shenyang's consumption isn't simply about low prices, but about getting the most out of your money—a genuine commitment to happiness in every purchase. Before leaving, I filled my pockets with local specialties like Bu Lao Lin candy and Shenyang Hui Tou (a type of souvenir), spending less than 100 yuan. This city taught me in the simplest way that the joy of consumption has nothing to do with price. #ShenyangTravel #ShenyangTravelGuide #NationalDayTravelDiary #Tourism #ShenyangImperialPalace
