Anlong Natural Pyramids

Anlong Natural Pyramids is a spectacular karst landscape in Guizhou, composed of over a dozen conical peaks, each 150 to 200 meters high. These peaks are characterized by their wide bases, sharp tops, and distinct angles. The rocks are layered in an orderly fashion, and the pyramids are named for their resemblance to the Egyptian pyramids. At sunset, the golden light bathes the mountains in a warm glow, enhancing their mystique and solemnity. These pyramid-like mountains are, in fact, masterpieces sculpted by nature over millions of years. The rocks here are dolomite formed approximately 200 million years ago, when most of Guizhou was still submerged. Minerals dissolved in the ocean slowly crystallized and deposited layer by layer. As the earth's crust rose and the sea receded, water continued to erode the rocks along their fissures—the tops eroded faster than the bottoms. This simultaneous horizontal and vertical erosion created these breathtaking conical mountains.Anlong · 2.2 km from downtown

The cave is huge; the Via Ferrata looks easy, but climbing it is actually quite challenging. The service was reliable. Our group of 22 couldn't reach the entrance by bus, so they sent six small vehicles to wait for us, very punctually. Very good.

We took our kids to play during summer vacation. Since General Cave was fully booked, customer service recommended Lingxi Cave as a cheaper alternative, saying it was developed by the same owner. Looking at the pictures, it seemed to offer more outdoor activities like Via Ferrata and caving paddleboarding, which our kids would enjoy, so we booked it. After the visit, our kids absolutely loved it, and I also thought it was well worth it. The Via Ferrata was thrilling, located high up on a mountain with the Baishui Dam below – the scenery was breathtaking, with green mountains and clear water all at your feet. There was also unlimited coffee, cola, and snacks on the mountain. There was also a very long rope swing at the cave entrance. The caving also had paddleboarding, but the cave wasn't very big, and the water wasn't blue. The instructors were all great and very dedicated. Our first instructor injured his foot inside the cave but still led us out, prioritizing the safety of the visitors. We got a different instructor after we exited the cave, who was also very good and took beautiful photos of everyone.

It was great! We had a wonderful time with our child. The instructors were very responsible and caring. Our child said he wanted to come back again after a whole day of playing. The water was crystal clear, there was no litter around, and the sun was shining brightly. When we got back, our child lay on our shoulder and took a nap. It was so comfortable!

My first cave exploration trip to Guizhou was the most fun of my entire Qianxinan trip! The first half of the activity introduced me to traditional Chinese medicine, while the second half was thrilling and exciting cave exploration! It's perfect for families; our family of four (two adults and two children) spent over three hours there. The guide, nicknamed "Potato," was incredibly patient, filming the entire trip and ensuring our safety. Highly recommended!

The main thing is that the fire burned the mountain and revealed a yellow-brown mountain body, which looks like a pyramid from a distance. Now it is all covered with green plants. Guizhou belongs to the karst landform, and there are many small hills of various shapes. It is what you think it looks like.
