Enoshima lookout lighthouse is located in the Samuel Cocking Botanical Garden and, like the garden, was rebuilt in 2003. The total height including the lightning rod is 59.8m (elevation 119.6m), and its novel design has been widely welcomed as a new symbol of Enoshima. At 41.74m above ground (elevation 101.56m) there is an observation room with large glass windows on all four sides, and above it an outdoor observation deck where you can enjoy expansive views of Mount Fuji and the Tanzawa range. Enoshima is accessible by train, and the tour is free. I don't think the elevator is necessary if you can climb something like Yuexiu Mountain, but if you have children, they seem to be free, so you might as well buy an adult elevator ticket. There are several shrines and an observation tower up there. There's a place selling local snacks like bread and octopus cakes (which are also sold down below). I think there are hot springs and hotels in the island area, as well as open-air bars and cafes, which seemed quite nice. I took a quick tour, which took about an hour, including crossing the bridge. I wouldn't recommend expecting to see Mount Fuji; it was hazy.

Enoshima Observation Lighthouse is also a very famous attraction in Enoshima. There are actually quite a lot of tourists coming here. The lighthouse here is not very high but the scenery is amazing.

Quite fun going through Enoshima Iwaya Cave. The admission fare quite reasonable. You are given a paper lantern to use in the cave. As you go along you will be greeted with a dragon by how loud you clap your hands. That was quite amusing! Then you will be rewards with the most breathtaking views from inside looking out into the water.

The reason why this place has become a popular pilgrimage site in Enoshima is that Jun Matsumoto and Juri Ueno filmed "Her Facing the Sunny Side" here. Legend has it that if lovers visit this place together and ring this bell together, they will gain eternal love.
