The transfer worked perfectly. The bus arrived at the bus stop on time, within the specified timeframe. The Blue Lagoon is admittedly a bit pricey, but if you're already in Iceland, it's definitely worth a visit. The blue water combined with the volcanic landscape is a truly beautiful sight. However, you should be aware that it's a tourist spot and therefore very crowded. If you're really looking to relax, there are smaller, more tranquil lagoons/thermal baths.
