Reviews: Waitomo Glowworm Caves + Te Puia - Rotorua, NZ 1-day tour | 16 people · Including admission ticket

It's Cheeky Wiki, a well-known local travel agency. Our group wasn't large this time, and the driver-guide arranged for self-introductions and a Q&A session, like a teacher leading students. It was my first time in New Zealand, and I saw wormholes, geothermal activity, and kiwis for the first time. It was definitely worthwhile to experience it all in one day. Although the driving time was a bit long, there were frequent short breaks, and the time management was reasonable, so it didn't feel too tiring.

Reviews: Waitomo Caves, Rotorua and Te Puia Small Group Tour from Auckland

Grant was our guide. I had such a great time under his care! He provided water and snacks. And is very knowledgeable, constantly sharing info and jokes. A real sweetheart! Our guide, Taylor, at Waitomo Caves was also brilliant, even had a cheeky song performed for us. At Te Puia, Cody was very energetic and very passionate. Overall, this tour made me wish i had more days here in the north island!

Had a super experience! It involves climbing and scrambling in the caves, but the difficulty level is manageable. It was beautiful to see the glowworms in real life!

This was a great tour. The only day that worked for our itinerary was New Year’s Eve, which wasn’t ideal. But our guide, David, was very engaging and super knowledgeable. He shared so much interesting info about New Zealand as a whole, and the specific areas were passing through - history, geography, culture, people, etc. I really can’t say enough positive things about him. The tour ran very smoothly in spite of the heavy rain, and we made it back to Auckland with plenty of time to have a quick dinner and ring in the new year at the sky tower. Highly recommend!
