The cable car climbs a near-vertical cliff. Aletsch Glacier is located in the high mountain region of the Canton of Valais in the eastern part of the Bernese Alps in south-central Switzerland and is one of the few massive glaciers in the Alps. It is formed by the confluence of several tributary glaciers at Konkordiaplatz, and the meltwater from the end of the glacier tongue flows into the Rhône River. Take a cable car from Fiesch in the Goms Valley via Fiescheralp up the mountain to the Eggishorn viewpoint, which offers a panoramic view of the entire glacier, where the textures of the converging tributary glaciers are clearly visible. Viewed from Bettmerhorn, you are directly facing the middle and lower sections. On the eastern edge lies the milky-blue Märjelensee lake, which is particularly photogenic in summer when filled with meltwater. The slopes beside the glacier tongue are covered with forests of Swiss stone pine. High-altitude panoramic trails connect mountain villages such as Riederalp and Bettmeralp. Among them, Villa Cassel, a century-old house above Riederalp, introduces the glacier and alpine ecology.Fieschertal · 15.2 km from Grindelwald

Lake Thun is located on the Bernese Oberland between Thun and Interlaken. The lake is deep blue and crystal clear, and there are not only beautiful views of the Alps around the lake, but also traditional Swiss wooden villages. The summer resort Lake Thun is a local summer family holiday resort. There are many holiday houses along the coast, and you can see many people swimming, playing in the water or cycling and hiking, which is very lively. In addition, it is also popular with sailing enthusiasts for its very good breeze. A boat cruise is the best way to experience Lake Thun, starting from the pier next to Interlaken West Station, roaming west through the narrow waterway, and soon looking back at the magnificent scenery of the Jungfrau region. The cruise ships will stop at several stops along the lake, especially the famous town of Spiez. The end of the cruise is the medieval city of Thun on the west bank of the lake. The whole route takes about 2 hours one way. Cycling around the lake Many Swiss people love to ride bicycles along Lake Thun. Although there are more than 50 kilometers of roads around the lake, it is very exhausting, but the scenery along the way will be very enjoyable. Of course, you can also choose to ride one of the distances, and I believe you will have a good experience. Hiking in the mountains around Lake Thun is a great place to go on foot, and there is something special about the panoramic views of Lake Thun from tops such as the Niederhorn.Sigriswil · 24.9 km from Grindelwald

Lake Lungern is a natural lake hidden in an Alpine valley, located next to the town of Lungern in the Canton of Obwalden, central Switzerland. On sunny days, the lake water takes on an emerald blue-green hue. The lakeshore is dotted with grassy slopes, traditional wooden houses, and churches with spires. Together, these elements create the quintessential Swiss postcard scene that many people imagine. Hiking around the lake is the main way to explore the area. The trail extends from Lungern station to the lakeshore, and a full loop is about 10 km, taking two to three hours to walk. The route is flat and can be easily managed in regular sneakers. The path is mostly gravel. Wooden viewing platforms and the area in front of the church are great spots to stop for photos, and the S-curve on the lakeside road is an especially popular photo spot. At the eastern end of the lake is the Brünig Pass. The scenic train (part of the GoldenPass Line) traveling between Lucerne and Interlaken runs along the lake, crosses the pass, and stops at the station there. Taking an overhead shot of the entire lake from the viewing platform by the pass while waiting for a train to enter the frame makes for a classic Swiss landscape photo.Lungern · 22 km from Grindelwald

Town of Spiez is situated on the southern shore of Lake Thun in the Bernese Highlands of Switzerland, nestled in a bay enclosed by two lush, wooded peninsulas. Vineyards on the hillsides stretch down to the lake, a medieval castle stands by the shore, and the Niesen peak on the opposite bank connects to the Bernese Alps. The castle, vineyards, blue lake, and snow-capped mountains framed together create a classic scene in many travelers' photos. The core view here is Spiez Castle and the adjacent Romanesque castle church. The tower was built right by the water and now houses a museum, where the Knight's Hall and period room furnishings tell the history of the local noble families, and the church still preserves Romanesque frescoes. A viewpoint overlooking the entire bay is located by the road above the castle. The hillside vineyards are a rare wine-growing region in the Bernese Highlands, cultivating varieties such as Pinot Noir and Riesling-Sylvaner, and the loop around the bay is easy to walk with expansive views. In summer, you can also swim by the lake, look back at the castle from the water, or take a Lake Thun cruise into the bay for a different perspective.Spiez · 27.8 km from Grindelwald

The Brienz-Rothorn Railway is a historic steam cog railway in the Bernese Oberland, Switzerland, which was built in 1892. The route starts from the village of Brienz on the shores of Lake Brienz and climbs to the top of the Rothorn Peak, about 2,244 meters above sea level. The entire journey takes about one hour. The train is famous for its vintage steam locomotives. The scenery along the way is magnificent, and passengers can enjoy the magnificent views of the Alps and the panoramic view of Lake Brienz. It is recommended to choose the morning train to avoid the afternoon fog, and the seats on the right provide a better viewing experience. There are viewing restaurants and several hiking routes on the top of the mountain. Among them, the Rothorn-Kulm line is suitable for short hikes, about 1.5 hours round trip, overlooking Lake Thun and the Jungfrau Group. Tourists should note that the temperature on the top of the mountain is low, and it is recommended to bring windproof clothing. The steam locomotive is open for viewing before the daily departure, suitable for mechanical enthusiasts. It is recommended to buy tickets in advance during the peak season.Brienz · 14.5 km from Grindelwald

First Flyer

First Flyer

3.7
First Flyer is a dynamic mountain experience located at the summit of Mount Fister, connecting the starting point to a transfer station below. The experience consists of several parallel steel cables. Several participants start simultaneously, seated securely in specially designed suspended seats, and propelled by gravity down the long cables. During the ride, the momentum from the descent provides participants with extremely high speeds, giving them a sense of freedom, like an eagle surveying a valley. Beyond the sensory impact of speed, the surrounding environment is equally captivating. Participants enjoy views of rolling Alpine pastures and the iconic north face of the Eiger. This height, combined with the pure air and visual tension, elevates the ride beyond ordinary amusement rides.Grindelwald · 4.2 km from downtown

I rushed to take the cable car early in the morning. This is a large cable car, very stable, and can hold a lot of people. In order to take pictures of the Lauterbrunnen Valley, it is very worthwhile to go to a suitable viewing point on the high ground. The Swiss Pass has a discount, but the discount seems to be irregular.

The Alaich Glacier is actually a landscape that looks like a snowy road. It is not cold on a sunny summer day. The wide-angle lens will be very good when you look at the glacier from the viewing platform. There are many piles of stones for making wishes on the mountain. There are also restaurants, and even in summer, they prepare woolen shawls for customers to keep warm.

We first took a train from Interlaken to Spez, and then took a boat from Spez to Thun. Lake Thunersee is known as God's left eye. I personally think it is a little worse than Lake Brienz, God's right eye. Lake Thun is greener, while Brienz is bluer. Of course, Lake Thun is also very beautiful, especially with the buildings and natural scenery on both sides. If you take a boat, it is free with a Swiss pass. However, there are few seats in the second-class cabin, and it is a bit cold to sit outside. It is recommended to wear more clothes. From Thun back to Interlaken, we chose to take the bus, and we can see different beautiful scenery along the way.

It should be the most beautiful lake in Switzerland. Located at an altitude of 2,265 meters, Lake Bachalpsee is a high mountain lake in the Jungfrau Mountains. The most beautiful moment is when the sharp and towering peak of Schreckhorn is reflected on the calm lake surface. The hiking trail from First to Bachalpsee was selected as one of the 15 most classic trails in the world by National Geographic Magazine in 2012, and it was described as absurdly beautiful.

I came to the beautiful Longjiang Lake in early April. The lake is not big, but the scenery is very beautiful. [Scenery] It was the dry season when I came, and the water in the lake receded a lot, but the lake water was still green. It must be more beautiful in summer. [Fun] This is a paradise for fishing, and you can also hike and ride a bicycle.

The town of Spiez on Lake Thun is an absolutely charming place to visit. It is backed by mountains, faces vineyards and, most magnificently, is crowned by a splendid castle. The Niederhorn mountain range above the lake stretches all the way to the Bernese Alps, creating a magnificent panorama. The mild climate and bright sunshine make it an ideal starting point for exploring the many famous tourist attractions in the Bernese Oberland or Valais. Spiez Castle is a highlight here, as is the castle gardens. From the castle, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the lake and the surrounding area. Likewise, a detour to the castle church is worthwhile. There are many hiking and cycling trails around Spiez. In addition, the neighboring cities of Thun and Interlaken are also great for day trips. Last but not least, the Bernese Oberland is easily accessible from Spiez.
