Walliser Alpentherme & Spa Leukerbad is located next to the historic village square in Leukerbad, Switzerland, at an altitude of approx. 1,400m. Opened in 1993, it replaced the long-standing Lorenz Bath that had operated in the town for many years. The bathhouse is supplied by the St. Lorenz thermal spring, which is approx. 51°C year-round. This town in the Alps boasts dozens of hot springs, gushing millions of liters of warm thermal water every day, and has been famous for its bathing culture for centuries. Walliser Alpentherme & Spa Leukerbad features indoor thermal pools, outdoor thermal pools, and a warm water pool at approx. 40°C, with the main pool temperature around 36°C. Soaking in the outdoor pool, you can look past the rising steam to see the rolling snow-capped mountains. The pool area is also equipped with massage loungers, massage jets, whirlpools, and a grotto bath. The "Valais Sauna Village," covering over 300m², brings together a variety of sauna experiences. The "Roman-Irish Bath," which continues the traditional European bathing style, is the signature attraction here. In a process lasting approx. 2 hours, you pass through 11 stages of hot air, steam, and thermal baths with varying temperatures, transitioning gradually from hot to warm. Many visitors come specifically for this experience.Leukerbad · 165m from downtown

Oeschinen Lake

Oeschinen Lake is located in the Bernese Highlands, Switzerland, nestled in a valley above the village of Kandersteg. It was formed by a natural dam created by an ancient landslide. With no surface outlet, the lake water drains quietly through underground streams, and combined with meltwater from snow-capped mountains, the water is exceptionally clear, appearing a bright blue-green on sunny days. The snow-capped peaks and rock walls of the Blüemlisalp massif and Doldenhorn are reflected in the water, and waterfalls can be seen cascading down the mountain walls. You can hike up to the Heuberg heights for a panoramic view, or take the steep mountain trail to the Fründenhütte on the cliff for an even higher vantage point. In the warmer seasons, you can go for a swim or rent a small rowboat to drift to the middle of the lake and admire the reflections of the snow-capped mountains. There are picnic spots and barbecue pits by the lake, perfect for bringing your own food for a picnic. After the lake freezes in winter, you can walk on the ice, and some people even come specifically for ice fishing, offering unique experiences in every season.Kandersteg · 15.4 km from Leukerbad

Schilthorn

6.7
4.4/5
204 reviews
Schilthorn is located in the Alps south of Interlaken, with an altitude of 2,970 meters. It is surrounded by well-known peaks such as Jungfrau and Eiger. Schilthorn is famous for the thrilling fight scenes in the 007 series "The Queen's Order". In summer, you can experience two different landscapes. If you go to Schilthorn in summer, when you reach the foot of the mountain, you can see green grass, local huts, and free-range cattle and sheep; It's another world, full of snow-covered scenes. Climbing by glass box cable car The main way for tourists to climb the Schilthorn is to take the cable car, but the difference is that this is a large glass box that can accommodate 80 people and moves up the mountain at a fast speed. The process of taking the cable car to the Schilthorn is fascinating, first from Stechelberg, 867 meters above sea level, to Gimmelwald, 1368 meters above sea level, and then to Mürren, Birg, and the process of changing the cable car. You will continue to experience the feeling of a real bird's-eye view. Even through the glass of the cable car, the photos taken are still shocking. The exciting ascent experience is a more thrilling section from Murren at 1638 meters to Birg at 2677 meters. In less than 10 minutes, the altitude is raised by 1 kilometer, and people will constantly exclaim at the beautiful scenery outside the window when ascending. I also continued to experience the feeling of weightlessness. From the Schilthorn Observation Deck, you can see the end of the cable car at the Schilthorn Observation Deck, which is 2970 meters above sea level. This is the place where the 007 movie was filmed. There are countless majestic peaks around the Schilthorn. From afar, you can see the Jungfrau, Eiger and Moshi, which are also among the mountains. 360-degree revolving panorama restaurant There is a revolving restaurant PizGloria on the top of the mountain. When the weather is good, you can dine here. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the peaks. Every time you turn a section, there will be an iron sign with a clear icon to tell you who you are facing at this angle. Which are the peaks and their elevations. The restaurant has special recommended dishes every day, which are worth experiencing. Photo with "Bond" There is also a James Bond figure with a pistol on the viewing platform, and you can take pictures with the "celebrity". If you have enough time, you can also enter the octagonal theater in the observation deck to watch an 18-minute multi-view Schilthorn region scenery film, including highlights from the 007 movie.Lauterbrunnen · 25.4 km from Leukerbad

It is a very subtle feeling to soak in hot springs while looking at the snow-capped mountains. The hot springs here are all mineral springs, and the temperature is not very high. Your skin will feel smooth after soaking. For those who are afraid of cold, it is better to go to a hotel with a hot spring pool, especially an indoor one, to enjoy the pleasure of a private pool.

Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe is one of Switzerland’s most spectacular mountain destinations, offering an unforgettable experience high in the Swiss Alps. Surrounded by magnificent snow-covered peaks, vast glaciers, and breathtaking alpine scenery, the journey to the summit is an adventure itself. The panoramic views from the top are truly mesmerizing, especially on a clear day when the mountains seem to stretch endlessly into the horizon. Walking through the snowy landscape feels like entering a winter wonderland. The impressive Aletsch Glacier adds even more beauty to the experience. Jungfraujoch is a must-visit destination for travelers who love mountains, snow, photography, and extraordinary natural landscapes.

This is one of the many lakes around the Blue Lake. It is located on the foothills of the Alps. The lake is not very big, and the lake surface is not very open. It is surrounded by cedars, and the scenery is very beautiful against the backdrop of the lake and mountains.

I wanted to go to Jungfraujoch, but the weather was bad. It was foggy and hard to see clearly. I took the train and then the cable car. I was a little disappointed. Of course, the scenery should be beautiful when the weather is clear.
