Not a must to visit but still worth going for a leisury scroll if you have the time. Its a modest aquarium with interesting creatures. Quite educational.

My biggest takeaway from this trip to the Australia Zoo is: arrive early, or you'll definitely miss the 1:30 pm crocodile show!
The Crocoseum area is very crowded, so it's best to arrive at least half an hour early to secure a good spot. The crocodile show is spectacular, and the zookeepers' explanations are excellent. Seeing the crocodiles up close is incredibly impressive; missing it would be a real shame.
The kangaroo experience is also a big plus. You can walk into the kangaroo enclosure, get up close to the kangaroos, squat down to gently feed them, and take photos. They are mostly very docile. However, please follow the park rules: don't chase or try to hold them.
