Humble Administrator's Garden

The Humble Administrator's Garden is a famous garden in Suzhou, with water as its central feature, surrounded by artfully arranged rockeries and exquisite courtyard buildings, all flourishing with plants. This exemplary Jiangnan garden, along with Beijing's Summer Palace, Chengde Mountain Resort, and Suzhou's Lingering Garden, is collectively known as the "four great gardens of China" and has been inscribed on the World Cultural Heritage list. The garden's design is exquisitely crafted, offering "a unique view with every step" as you explore, with every corner embodying the charm of Jiangnan water towns. Its winding paths lead through layered archways and stone walls with intricate cutouts, where no two pavilions or windows are alike—each perfectly complemented by surrounding flora to create picturesque scenes. You could easily spend hours photographing here. The garden is divided into eastern, central, and western sections, each with distinct features. The central garden largely preserves the simple and natural style of Ming Dynasty gardens, representing the essence of the entire complex and warranting thorough exploration. The eastern garden offers more open spaces, while the western garden features exquisite architecture. At the southern end of the Humble Administrator's Garden lies Suzhou Garden Museum, China's specialized museum dedicated to garden art. Humble Administrator's Garden features major views including Lanxue hall, Hanqing pavilion, Yuanxiang hall, Xiangzhou boat, Thirty-six mandarin ducks hall, and bonsai garden. Two particularly interesting sights stand out: first is the "borrowed view of Beisi pagoda"—when looking westward from the east garden, the pagoda 1 km away appears within the garden, creating a popular photo opportunity for travelers, with this borrowed scenery technique visible throughout the grounds during exploration. Second is the "small flying rainbow bridge" in the central garden, where vermilion railings reflected in water resemble a rainbow, forming an exceptionally beautiful view centered on this bridge. The garden's floral displays change with the seasons: azalea exhibition in spring, lotus exhibition in summer, chrysanthemum exhibition in fall, and fruit bonsai exhibition around the Spring Festival.China · Suzhou

The Tsingtao Beer Museum is located at No. 56 Dengzhou Road, the birthplace of Tsingtao beer. This century-old factory, housed in a 1903 German-style industrial complex, witnesses China's beer industry journey from its infancy to prominence. As China's first beer-themed model for industrial heritage revitalization, the museum transforms weathered red-brick workshops into immersive spaces using precious early equipment like old motors, mash kettles, and boiling kettles. Visitors walking through the century-old memory corridor can touch over 30,000 artifacts from the German occupation era while overlooking the smart production lines of the "lighthouse factory" through glass walls. Through the dialogue between traditional wooden fermentation tanks and fully automated filling equipment, they decode the evolution of Chinese manufacturing from artisanal heritage to digital transformation. With the innovative concept of "living heritage + technological empowerment," the museum breaks free from the static display constraints of industrial sites. The VR brewing lab allows visitors to become brewers adjusting malt ratios, while the hop recognition system decodes the scientific secrets behind beer flavors. Personalized beer label printing customizes brews, turning taste into portable urban memories. This cultural landmark, bearing Qingdao's industrial DNA, not only showcases its benchmark value in cultural-tourism integration through honors like "national first-class museum" and "China's top 10 cultural heritage tourism cases," but also injects more sustainable vitality into the century-old factory by being selected as a "national cultural industry demonstration base." It continues to brew the city's cultural richness from industrial heritage amid the tides of time.China · Qingdao

Also, remember to bring a flashlight so you can take in the beautiful sights inside the cave. "In March when flowers bloom, head to Yangzhou." When visiting Yangzhou in spring, a trip to Slender West Lake is a must. This narrow stretch of waterway offers the perfect blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage. Stroll along the banks to admire scenic views, explore historic pavilions adorned with classical poetry and paintings, or cruise the lake by boat to experience the leisurely pleasure Emperor Qianlong once enjoyed during his royal visits. The attraction is quite expansive, stretching from the Great Rainbow Bridge in the southeast all the way north along the lake to Guanyin Mountain, passing dozens of attractions along the way. There are four main entrances (east, south, west, and north), with most visitors starting their tour at the south entrance on Great Rainbow Bridge Road. This renowned lakeside garden boasts breathtaking natural views. In spring, the area is shaded by lush willows and adorned with camellias, pomegranates, azaleas, and peach blossoms, attracting visitors from across the country to enjoy the seasonal blooms. For centuries, countless literati have lingered here, composing poetry and creating paintings that left behind numerous artistic treasures and stories. The site also features many landscape structures ingeniously designed to harmonize with its natural surroundings. The Five Pavilion Bridge in Shugang Slender West Lake Scenic Area is the iconic attraction with over 200 years of history. Featuring five wind pavilions atop, each of the bridge's fifteen arches cradles a moon during full moon nights. Another renowned attraction is the Twenty-Four Bridge, inspired by Du Mu's poetic line "Where is the jade-like beauty teaching flute-playing on the moonlit Twenty-Four Bridge?" While the original bridge no longer exists, visitors can admire its reconstructed version today. This was also a stop during Emperor Qianlong's southern tours in the Qing Dynasty. Architectural views like the Great Rainbow Bridge, Slender West Lake Scenic Area's Fishing Terrace, White Pagoda, and the Twenty-Four Bridges' Xichun Platform all bear inseparable historical anecdotes connected to Emperor Qianlong. During summer nights, the illuminated pavilions and moonlit reflections on the lake create a magical atmosphere. The nightlife experience here is entirely boat-based, offering a relaxing way to beat the summer heat while enjoying gentle lake breezes.China · Yangzhou

There's a museum at the entrance, where you can learn about birds beforehand. There are large and small loops; I recommend the large loop, as it has many birds, especially in the afternoon when they come out to forage. It's perfect for photography enthusiasts.

The children's library at Boxin Plaza is truly amazing! The environment is bright and clean, with a wide variety of picture books and children's books. The automatic book lending and returning machine is especially convenient—just put the book on it and you're good to go. There's also a book sterilization machine nearby, which is both worry-free and reassuring…

Niushou Mountain in Nanjing is truly a place that will leave you breathless upon arrival! The Buddha Palace's architectural design is ingenious, with its massive dome exuding grandeur. Inside, the interplay of light and shadow on the openwork dome is exquisite, both refined and solemn, creating a powerful visual impact. Climbing the Buddha Tower offers panoramic views of the entire mountain range, with rolling green hills and lakes stretching as far as the eye can see—a truly expansive and breathtaking vista. The park is vast, with stunning scenery at every turn. The natural landscape blends seamlessly with the architecture, creating a tranquil and healing atmosphere. The park boasts comprehensive facilities, clear signage, and a well-planned route. Whether you're appreciating architectural beauty or seeking peaceful relaxation, it's a worthwhile destination and highly recommended!

The scenic area is truly vast, with attractions quite far apart. It gets incredibly crowded during holidays, with long queues for sightseeing buses and cable cars. Make sure to allow ample time for your return trip during holidays. We took the coastal route, with mountains on one side and the sea on the other. The rocky coastline scenery was exceptionally beautiful. I recommend taking two days outside of holidays to leisurely explore Laoshan's stunning mountain and sea views and experience the local culture, without rushing around.

While Yangzhou is often described as a paradise in March, the city also boasts beautiful scenery in the crisp autumn air. With fewer crowds, the autumn colors offer a unique charm, especially the Slender West Lake, which is breathtakingly beautiful and truly refreshing.

We entered the park at 2 PM, and the animals were quite active at that time. However, they went back to their enclosure around 4 or 5 PM. It's clear the park management puts a lot of thought into the setup and care of the animals; there are separate areas between people and animals to minimize human interference.
