I bought a full-trip ticket.
Navigate to the Xixi Rafting Visitor Center. The visitor center has parking and free showers (the showers are so-so, but they have hot water). You can buy swimsuits, waterproof phone cases, water guns, Crocs, etc. at the visitor center. I just glanced at the Crocs and they were 15 yuan, which was okay! There are luggage lockers; I stored mine for 10 yuan.
Once you arrive at the visitor center, go directly to the waiting area for the minibus. The minibus will take you up the mountain, and then everyone gets off. (If someone bought a half-trip ticket, the driver will call out halfway down: "Anyone who bought a half-trip ticket, get off here.") Note⚠️ After getting off the minibus, you have to walk 1 kilometer, about a 10-minute walk, to reach the rafting entrance. Some people are offering to take you up to the rafting entrance for 5 yuan per person, but I chose to walk.
At the rafting entrance, show your ticket to the staff for inspection. Find your helmet, life jacket, and paddling equipment. The rafting entrance is quite thrilling, but overall, it's not particularly exciting because there are many calmer sections where you can stop to take photos, have water fights, and rest at several rest stops along the way. They sell things like grilled sausages and instant noodles at reasonable prices.
When I got tired of rafting, I asked a staff member how much longer it was. They said there was still half the journey left, and the rest of the rafting would be done manually. Friends, once you see the "Time Tunnel" section, just paddle for a little longer and you'll reach the end of the rafting trip. The end of the rafting trip is back at the visitor center.
This place is a bit out of the way, so taxis are hard to find. I took a rideshare back. It's best to finish early and head back early to avoid difficulty finding a taxi 🚗. The later you get a taxi, the more the drivers will charge.
This place is great for bringing children because it's not too thrilling, just right for kids.
