Things to do in Xinyuan

Narat Grassland is quite beautiful, especially the aerial grassland, which is stunning. You can drive there; just buy a self-driving ticket. There are also shuttle buses. The area is quite large. Panlong Valley Road, however, was just average, not as beautiful as I expected. The river valley grassland was teeming with cattle and sheep, but since it was nearing autumn, the grass wasn't as green anymore. I happened to be there during a grassland music festival. There were no celebrities, and the audience wasn't large, but the park was very well organized. There were large, clean temporary restrooms, and plenty of police, so everything was orderly. The only downside was that the parking lot was a bit far from the concert venue, as the venue was quite large. Because it's relatively remote, there weren't that many tourists there.

I visited the Narat Grassland in early September 2025. It was early autumn, October, and the air was crisp and clear. The grassland was lush and green, with herds of cattle and sheep grazing peacefully everywhere. It was truly beautiful.

Narat Aerial Grassland is located in Xinyuan County, Ili Prefecture, Xinjiang. It is a subalpine meadow plant area, one of the world's four major grasslands. It is named after its average altitude of about 2,200 meters and its flat and open terrain, which makes it look like a green platform floating in the clouds.

This is an alpine grassland located in the Ili River Valley, in the middle section of the Tianshan Mountains. It is surrounded by mountains, has lush vegetation, interweaving grasslands and forests, and beautiful natural scenery. It has always been the main habitat of nomadic peoples in the Western Regions.

Personally, I feel that this route is more primitive than the sky grassland and the river valley grassland. It is worth coming and contains 80% of the scenery of the river valley grassland.

Playing on the grassland is a unique experience. In summer, the grass is long, eagles fly, and there are groundhogs and squirrels.

You can take the cable car to the middle point of the aerial grassland line: Tianjietai. Then take the shuttle bus or drive to continue down. You can reach the top to see the whole aerial grassland without climbing, saving time and effort. The key is that the scenery is particularly good, overlooking the Nalati scenery. A great experience

The Nalati Beekeeper statue faces the direction of Nalati Town, looking down at the grassland with a smile on her face. She wears a flower crown on her head, two large black braids draped over her chest, and her pink skirt flutters in the wind. It is a good place for tourists to check in and take photos.
