A trip to Yingjing wouldn't be complete without visiting Diecui Creek. With my parents and a child, we bought round-trip tickets for an electric bus. The first stop was the Gongtong Mountain House, perfect for splashing and having water fights. The water was quite good, clear, though a bit chilly upon stepping in. Then, we followed the plank road back down. The scenery was stunning: towering ancient trees, jagged rocks, and a gurgling stream. It was a true summer retreat. Unfortunately, my parents were old and tired, so I didn't complete the hike and missed the waterfall. It was a little regrettable, but I'll go again next time!
