SEA LIFE Helsinki is located in the urban commercial complex of Zhaoyang District, integrating unique natural ecological and cultural resources such as Phoenix Mountain. Leveraging nearly a decade of mature ocean park development and operational expertise, it comprehensively consolidates resources like endangered marine species to create a new marine-themed park and cultural tourism entertainment center. This destination combines natural ecological views, rare species exhibits, ocean-themed theaters, specialty dining, interactive learning, professional science education, comprehensive retail, and leisure entertainment. The park spans approximately 30,000 square meters, centered around two main themes: the ocean and the polar regions. It miraculously brings seawater, real ice, and snow to the heart of the Wumeng area, featuring hundreds of marine, freshwater, and terrestrial species. Without traveling far, you can journey from polar glaciers to vast oceans in a single day, experiencing the dual wonders of vibrant underwater life and icy polar landscapes. Pioneering the introduction of cutting-edge equipment like holographic projection in the province, we've created a dual fantasy world where virtual and reality coexist, perfectly recreating underwater ecosystems and polar glacial landscapes for an immersive experience. The venue features five themed areas: tropical rainforest, vibrant seabed, polar world, children's playground, and science corridor. A mysterious stunt team performs two marine-themed shows: a magical light-and-water spectacle and an adorable sea lion performance. Twenty-eight artistic wonders await discovery, including rainforest zones, enchanted gardens, blessing trees, coral coasts, shark legends, dazzling jellyfish palaces, turtle islands, polar-themed restaurants, penguin bays, penguin sister's fishing room, icy realms, science corridors, ancient memories, happy planets, magical light forests, and playful parks—each step unveils a new picturesque scene. Dedicated to educational exploration, the venue showcases exquisite fossil specimens and interactive exhibits like the Yangtze River biodiversity display, using multimedia to teach science through fun, raising awareness, and sparking curiosity and innovation. This multi-dimensional marine-themed playground offers a fresh, layered experience for all. The first polar-themed restaurant in the province combines interactive viewing with rare creature exhibits. While enjoying delicious cuisine, you can observe penguins and other polar marine life up close, interact with these adorable animals, and experience unlimited fun and joy. SEA LIFE Helsinki integrates a new model of ocean-themed parks, creating unique, innovative, and immersive interactive entertainment experiences. It marks a new milestone for inland highland ocean theme parks and sets a fresh trend for urban vacation lifestyles in Zhaotong.Zhaotong · 4.4 km from downtown

On September 28, 2025, visit Yanjin County and ascend the Qidaguai Observation Deck to take in the sights of this nationally renowned "first-tier county"! This observation deck is free and offers a prime location with a wide view. From up high, you'll see Yanjin County, with its vibrant, colorful buildings lining the banks of the Guan River, flanked by towering mountains. It truly feels like a linear county! The walk from the Dongfeng Bridge in Yanjin County to the Qidaguai Observation Deck is uphill and takes about 30-45 minutes. It's recommended to take a taxi to save time and effort. The return trip is a leisurely downhill walk.

The Bai people's hanging coffins are located in the cracks of the cliffs on the opposite bank, 150 meters away from the Guanlou. There are 6 coffins left. From the telephoto lens, it can be seen that the hanging coffins are all carved out of whole wood and placed in the cracks of the rocks with wooden bars to avoid rain. Despite the two earthquakes in July 2006, the hanging coffins were not damaged. The hanging coffins are suspended in the cracks of the cliffs hundreds of meters above the water surface of Guanhe River. The coffin thieves are unable to climb up, and the placement of the hanging coffins is now a mystery.

It is especially good to take photos here during sunrise. The sunrise plus the sea of clouds is really amazing. No matter how beautiful the photos taken with your mobile phone are, you can't feel like you are there in person. Anyway, you won't regret going there.

Self-driving campsites are a lie, don't go there! Several groups of people went there on May Day but didn't camp. It was very disappointing.

Do not join a tour group when visiting Jiaoding Mountain, especially Zhaotong Zhongbei Travel Agency. We booked a departure time of 8:00 AM, but they didn't leave until 9:00 AM. What should have been a 1.5-hour trip took a full 5.5 hours, and we didn't arrive until 1:40 PM. The tour guide didn't give us a reasonable explanation.
