Things to do in Zhuji

The scenery at Wuxie is beautiful. I recommend entering the park from the South Gate, taking a boat tour first. The boat ride isn't long, but you can enjoy the beautiful lake views. Then, hike the loop from the East Source Waterfall to the West Source Canyon. It's said that this loop takes 4-5 hours, but in reality, including the boat ride, it only took 2.5 hours, and you won't feel tired at all while sightseeing and taking photos along the way.

The Zheng Clan Ancestral Hall live-action theater offers an immersive performance with a water stage and stunning light and shadow effects. The actors are professional, their dances graceful, and the story is compelling and moving, going beyond a tale of beauty to showcase Xi Shi's patriotism and integrity, while also incorporating elements of Yue Opera, an intangible cultural heritage. The 50-minute show is well-paced and a top choice for a nighttime visit. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Zhuji!

Last night I watched "Meeting Xi Shi." The light and shadow transformed the entire river into a stage, with layers of water curtains, boat shadows, and lights creating a stunningly beautiful and impactful experience. The story, from washing silk to entering Wu and finally returning to the river, unfolded with a rhythmic and captivating pace. It wasn't just about showcasing technical skills; it told Xi Shi's fate in a way that left a deep impression. When visiting Zhuji, this night tour is definitely worth setting aside an evening for.

My second visit to West Lake was great; the boat tour was excellent. The dock was easy to find, the staff were very friendly, provided clear explanations, and helped with any issues. There were also sightseeing buses, which were nice but a bit pricey. Taking the boat tour and then walking around was both perfectly fine.

Xishi Temple is located on the east bank of the Xishi Hometown Scenic Area in Zhuji, right next to the Huanjiang River. For 80 yuan, you can visit the five major attractions along the river, including Xishi Temple, which is quite cost-effective.

I made a special trip from Shanghai to Shaoxing for the weekend. I took the high-speed train to Shaoxing North Station, then transferred twice to Metro Line 1 to City Square. From there, it was an 8-minute walk to the scenic area, followed by bus route 3. I arrived at the scenic area at 4 PM, and it would have taken at least two and a half hours to see all the attractions (including the Lanting Calligraphy Museum). The scenic area is open until 8 PM, and there weren't many tourists in the afternoon. There were also laser lights on the river at night, making for a beautiful scene and perfect for taking photos!

Baitahu National Wetland Park in Zhuji, Zhejiang Province, is the largest lake area and ecological wetland in Zhuji City. It is an important ecological barrier in the northern part of Zhuji City and is known as "Baitahu in Zhuji, the Little Dongting Lake in Central Zhejiang".

A rain shower brought a rare moment of clarity to the bustling scenic area; a guided tour brought life to the ordinary scenery; today we were very fortunate to have our guide, Ms. Xu, lead us on a tour of Lu Xun's former residence. Her explanations were clear and logical, and her voice was gentle and soothing. The entire journey, accompanied by intermittent rain, was truly a wonderful experience.

It was great. The rafting area had shade and shelter from the trees. The high-speed descent was super exciting, and there were even NPCs to interact with. We got completely soaked by Pigsy.
