Xinghua Village Cultural Tourist Area
"During the Qingming Festival, rains fell heavily, and pedestrians on the road were almost heartbroken. I asked where the tavern was, and the shepherd boy pointed to Xinghua Village in the distance." In the spring of the fifth year of Tang Huichang (845 AD), Du Mu, a famous poet and governor of Chizhou, encountered rain in Xinghua Village outside Xiushan Gate in the west of Guichi City, and wrote this poem "Qingming" that has been passed down through the ages and is known to women and children. In fact, it is not only Du Mu, Li Bai, Bai Juyi, Sima Guang, Wang Anshi, Li Qingzhao and others have left immortal poems here. Statue of Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva
The Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva statue is located in the Dayuan Cultural Park within the Jiuhua Mountain Scenic Area in Qingyang County, Chizhou City, Anhui Province. It is a landmark of the Jiuhua Mountain Buddhist site. The statue is an open-air bronze statue of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, depicting him as a standing monk, holding a staff in his right hand and a mani jewel in his left, with a serene and dignified appearance. Built against the mountain, the statue is flanked by Bijia Mountain and Lion Peak to the east, with Lion-shaped Mountain as its main mountain. The Bodhisattva faces west towards Mount Sumeru, embodying the Buddhist doctrine of "all things returning to their origin." The statue is 99 meters tall, including the Bodhisattva's body and lotus pedestal. Made of imitation gold bronze, it has a golden luster. Huacheng Temple
Huacheng Temple is located on Jiuhua Mountain, a Buddhist resort 50 kilometers southeast of Chizhou City. As early as the fifth year of Long'an in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (401 AD), monks had built a nunnery here. In the early years of Tang Zhide (756 AD), Huacheng Temple was built. Jin Qiaojue (Jin Dizang), a prince of Silla (South Korea), who was believed to be the reincarnation of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, preached here. Huacheng Temple is the founding temple of Jiuhua Mountain with a long history. It is also the place of practice for Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. Huacheng Temple is located in the center of Jiuhua Street, the base camp for food and accommodation on Jiuhua Mountain. It is very convenient to walk to it from Jiuhua Street. There are small shops next to each other on both sides of the temple. The crescent-shaped pond in front of the gate is said to be the release pond of Ksitigarbha. The white-walled and black-tiled temple and shops are reflected in the pond, which can take beautiful photos. There is a Niangniang Pagoda near the Crescent-shaped Pond. Only the pagoda base remains. It is said to be built in memory of Jin Dizang's mother. The main buildings of the temple are arranged along the central axis, with a total of four entrances, from south to north, including the Lingguan Hall, Tianwang Hall, Daxiong Hall, and Sutra Library. The first three entrances are buildings from the Qing Dynasty, and the last entrance is a building from the Ming Dynasty. The most beautiful one is the Daxiong Hall, with flowers carved on the windows, ice patterns carved on the door lintel, and gold gilded at the right position. When entering the hall, you must look up at the roof. The colorful "Nine Dragons Playing with Pearls" carvings on the caisson are artistic treasures. As a historical and cultural relic museum of Jiuhua Mountain, the courtyard corridors of Huacheng Temple are hung with paintings and calligraphy showing the landscape of Jiuhua Mountain, and cultural relics are displayed. The fine products worth seeing include: the "Avatamsaka Blood Sutra" written by the monk Wuxia of the Ming Dynasty with a needle piercing his tongue and a pen dipped in his tongue blood. Qingyuan Mountain Scenic Spot
Qingyuan Mountain Scenic Area is located in Jinfeng Village, Youhua Town, Qingyang County, Chizhou City, an ecological demonstration city. It is 15 kilometers away from the county seat and 30 kilometers away from Jiuhua Mountain, one of the four famous Buddhist mountains in China. The Attraction covers an area of more than 6 square kilometers. It is a tourist destination that integrates natural landscapes and cultural landscapes such as Buddhist temples, Five Hundred Arhats Mountain, karst caves, strange rocks, maple forests, and nurseries. The Attraction is strictly developed and constructed in accordance with the national 4A Attraction standards. According to legend, Qingyuan Mountain once had only one peak, which was later split into two halves by the gods and was also called Liangfen Mountain. Because there is a clear spring in the mountain that gurgles out and never dries up, it has been regarded as fairy water since ancient times, so it is named Qingyuan. The "Qingyuan Zen Temple" was built here at the end of the Song Dynasty and has been there ever since. The Five Hundred Arhats Mountain in the area is where the Tang Dynasty monk Jin Dizang took the east road when he first came to Jiuhua Mountain. He settled down here and left a miraculous mark on the stone mountain behind the temple, vowing that all sentient beings could eliminate the troubles of the three realms and attain the status of Arhat. Later generations asked skilled craftsmen to carve five hundred Arhats on the stone mountain according to its color and material, which made it famous. In addition, on June 19, 2012, Master Cijue, who was practicing in Qingyuan Zen Temple, made a great wish to retreat in this precious place for 18 years, which became a major event in the Buddhist community. The Qiupu River Scenic Area, located in Shitai County, Chizhou City, Anhui Province, is a national 4A-level scenic area. The Qiupu River stretches 180 kilometers, its waters as clear as autumn, and its banks offer picturesque scenery. Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai visited the area numerous times, leaving behind 45 poems. The scenic area boasts ten distinctive attractions, including Baizhang Cliff and Qiupu Fishing Village. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities, including rafting, jungle trekking, and hot spring wellness retreats.

The water was crystal clear, not thrilling or exciting at all. You have to paddle yourself, making it perfect for a leisurely stroll. Stopping in the shade to watch the small fish is incredibly pleasant. After the rafting trip, you can grab a milk tea or coffee at the visitor center, and kids can catch fish in the artificial pond – it's a lot of fun. The most amazing part was taking the sightseeing bus back to the parking lot. The road seemed to be under development, but it was incredibly pristine and beautiful. I doubt this kind of natural, free-flowing scenery will remain once it's fully developed. I hope the scenic area can preserve its unique character and avoid becoming generic.

It feels like a park, nothing to see, nothing special to speak of, I don't know if it's the wrong season to go there! There are only some rape flowers at the entrance, and some newly planted small flowers at the far back, nothing else can be seen, only a piece of green.
