It is located in the northwest corner of Quanjiao County. Founded in the summer of 1959, the original site is by the lotus pond in Quanjiao County. The current museum was rebuilt in October 1984, covering an area of 5,000 square meters and a building area of 1,000 square meters. There are east-west exhibition halls and quaint corridors, which were officially opened to the public on July 1, 1986. In front of the hall of the memorial hall stands a bronze statue of Wu Jingzi, which is 4.5 meters high and weighs 500 kilograms. The museum houses various editions of "School of Foreign Studies" and other works by Wu Jingzi, such as the earlier block-printed "Reclining Thatched Cottage", "Supplement to Qixingtang", "Wenmu Shanfang Ji", "Wenmu Mountain Fang Ji" Wenmu Shanfang Poems", as well as a reduced version of his seven-character ancient poem and handwriting "Fengti Yayu Grand Duke Out of the Forbidden City" (the original is about 2 meters long and 1 meter wide, and is now in the Forbidden City in Beijing) and so on. The East-West Exhibition Hall also displays the research results of Chinese and foreign experts and scholars on "School of Foreign Studies", as well as some cultural relics, stone carvings and works of well-known domestic calligraphers and painters in his former residence.Quanjiao · 2.1 km from downtown

West Lake

West Lake is undoubtedly the epitome of Hangzhou's beauty. The famous "Ten scenes of West Lake" surround its shores, where nature and culture complement each other, forming the core area of Hangzhou tourism. You don't need to visit every attraction - instead, spend half a day or a full day strolling along the lake. However you choose to enjoy it, the experience will surely lift your spirits. West Lake is the core attraction of Hangzhou, surrounded by clouds and mountains on three sides and the city on one side. The Su Causeway and Bai Causeway stretch across the lake, dividing it into several water areas. The lakeside scenery is highlighted by the "Ten Scenes of West Lake" from the Southern Song Dynasty, along with the later "New Ten Scenes" and "Three Additional Scenes," featuring over a hundred attractions along the shore and mountains. Pavilions, temples, pagodas, gardens, causeways, and islands complement the distant mountains and nearby waters, while legends like the Broken Bridge where Lady White Snake met Xu Xian add a layer of storytelling to the landscape. West Lake extends east from Songmuchang in Hangzhou and the north of Baolu Road turning to Shaoniangong Square, passing Baisha Road, Huancheng West Road, Hubin Road, and Nanshan Road to the south of Wansong Ridge, covering all attractions including Wu Mountain, Ziyang Mountain, and Yunju Mountain. To the south, it stretches from Gulou along the eastern foothills of Wu Mountain, Ziyang Mountain, and Yunju Mountain, passing Fengshanmen and Fenghuangshan Road, then following the West Lake water diversion channel to the north bank of the Qiantang River, turning to the Coral Sand Reservoir and ending north of Liufangling. To the west, it runs from Liufangling, Zhugan Mountain, Jiuqu Ridge, and Mingren Ridge to Meiren Peak, Beigaofeng, Lingfeng Mountain, and east of the ridge line of Laohe Mountain. To the north, it follows the foothills of Laohe Mountain (west wall of Zhejiang University), turns 30 m north of Qingzhiwu Road, connects to Yugu Road, Zhejiang University Road, and Shuguang Road, ending south of Songmuchang. West Lake has over 100 attractions, renowned for its "Ten scenes of West Lake", "New ten scenes of West Lake" and "Three reviews · Ten scenes of West Lake". West Lake overview You can explore West Lake on foot, by cruise, on electric bikes, via self-drive, or by riding. Among these, electric bikes are the most convenient and effortless option, with hop-on-hop-off sightseeing vehicles circling the entire lake. Riding along the lakeshore is romantic and leisurely, with many public bike rental spots available. For a boat tour, there are nearly 10 docks around the lake offering various vessels and routes. We highly recommend taking a cruise to Three Pools Mirroring the Moon at the lake center while enjoying the scenic views. Alternatively, you can hail a hand-rowed boat for a more flexible experience with a boatman guiding your tour. North line scenery The north shore of West Lake gathers quite a few attractions, usually starting from the remnant snow on broken bridge at the northeast corner and heading west all the way to Yuewang Temple. You can walk along Bai Causeway to Solitary Hill, visiting cultural attractions like Xiling Seal Engravers' Society, Zhejiang Provincial Museum, Chinese Seal Art Museum, and Zhongshan Park's Crane Pavilion. Enjoy authentic West Lake vinegar fish at Louwailou Restaurant, then cross Xiling Bridge to leave the island - Yuewang Temple and Breeze-ruffled lotus at Quyuan Garden are just a short distance away. If it's a summer day with strong sunlight, it is recommended to stroll along Beishan road, hiding under the dense shade of trees to admire the curve of Broken bridge and the swaying weeping willows on Bai causeway opposite. There are many entrances along the way leading to Precious stone hill, where you can hike for views, and descend to reach Yuewang temple. Yuewang square has many small shops for snacks, and the Impression West Lake show here in the evening is also worth watching. If you have ample time and energy, you can also head to Su causeway from here for a walk to enjoy the panoramic view of West Lake. Southeast coast (Lakeside-Nanshan Road) Another area with a concentration of attractions is the Hubin Road-Nanshan Road along the southeastern coast. Hubin Road is located at the junction between Hangzhou's urban area and the attraction, offering views of West Lake, a dock for West Lake cruises, and the iconic music fountain. The advantage of Hubin Road is its quick access from the attraction to the downtown business district, making it suitable for travelers with a tight itinerary to make a short stop. Head south from Hubin road and walk along Nanshan road, where you can visit attractions like Orioles singing in the willows, Long bridge, Leifeng pagoda, Evening bell at Nanping hill, and Viewing fish at flower harbor. The distance between adjacent attractions is not far, so you can walk or take a sightseeing bus or public transport, which are also convenient. You can arrange a day to visit a few of them according to your preference. Among them, Leifeng pagoda and Evening bell at Nanping hill can be visited in the evening. Listening to the bell at Jingci temple and overlooking the night view of West lake from Leifeng pagoda are both great experiences.China · Hangzhou

Niu Shou Shan, also known as Tianque Mountain, is named after the twin peaks on the top of the mountain that resemble the double horns of an ox's head. The Niu Shou Shan has beautiful scenery and is known as the "Spring Niu Shou". In ancient times, there were beautiful Jinling scenery such as Niu Shou Yanlan and Zutang Zhenxi. There are also many historical sites, such as Yue Fei's Anti-Jin Fortress and Zheng He Cultural Park. Buddha's Peak Palace The Buddha's Crown Palace is themed on the worship of the Buddha's skull relic. It is divided into two parts, the large dome and the small dome, which represent external and internal worship. The Buddha's Crown Palace uses the original mine pit to build an underground palace with six floors underground and three floors above ground, which is very solemn and majestic. In recent years, the Buddha's skull relic of Sakyamuni will be worshipped in Niu Shou Shan for a long time. Tourists can visit the Buddha's Crown Palace on special Buddhist festivals. For the specific time of worshipping the relic, please call the Attraction for consultation. Thousands of years of history Niu Shou Shan is a Buddhist holy place. The Buddhist Cave Temple built by Sikong Xu Du in the second year of Tianjian in Liang Dynasty (503) was the first temple in Niu Shou Shan. Li Yu, the last emperor of Southern Tang Dynasty, renamed it Hongjue Temple. Emperor Daizong of Tang Dynasty "once dreamed of the Pratyekabuddha from Niu Shou Shan coming to see him", so there is a Pratyekabuddha Pagoda. In the Tang Dynasty, Master Fa Rong, who was known as "Dharma of Dongxia", founded the Niutou Zen Sect in Niu Shou Shan, which was called "Niutou of Jiangbiao" in ancient times. The establishment of the Niutou Zen Sect played an important role in bridging the transformation of Indian Zen into Chinese Zen! Peach Blossom Creek Taohua Creek is located at the eastern entrance of Niu Shou Shan, covering a total area of 14.87 hectares, or about 220 mu. The peach blossom varieties selected are 26 kinds of peach blossoms suitable for growing in Nanjing. It is a new landscape created by Niu Shou Shan Attraction. A stream meanders down from Yinlong Lake, with gurgling water and peach blossoms planted on both sides. In spring, the flower buds gradually bloom, and the sea of flowers is intoxicating.Nanjing · 59.7 km from Chuzhou

National Forest Park and Provincial Nature Reserve, located 35 kilometers west of Chuzhou City, spans approximately 4,000 square meters. Formerly known as Quting Mountain, it was renamed Huangpu Mountain after General Huangpu Hui of the Southern Tang Dynasty stationed his troops there. The main peak, Beijiangjunling, rises to 399.2 meters, making it the highest peak in eastern Anhui. At the summit, visitors can find a Southern Tang Dynasty beacon tower and a modern four-story fire-watching tower offering panoramic views. Key attractions include General Well, Mituo Temple, Jinjia Creek, Happy Forest, and Egret Island. Situated in a subtropical zone, Huangpu Mountain boasts abundant rainfall and lush forests, with a forest coverage rate exceeding 95%. The area is home to 114 wild plant species, including protected species like ginkgo, yellow sandalwood, and tulip trees, as well as over 130 wild animal species, 26 of which are provincially protected. Birdwatchers can observe 127 bird species, with summer egrets numbering up to 100,000, creating a spectacular sight. General Well, located near the north slope of the beacon tower, was constructed with stones and measures about 70 cm in diameter and less than 10 meters deep. Legend has it that General Huangpu Hui dug the well to provide water for his troops, and it remains clear and stable year-round, unaffected by weather conditions.Chuzhou · 29.2 km from downtown

Fengyang Zhongdu City God Temple is a historic temple with profound cultural heritage, located on Yunji Street in Fengyang County, Anhui Province. It serves as an important auxiliary structure of the Ming Dynasty's Zhongdu City. Constructed in the fifth year of the Hongwu era (1372 AD) and completed in March of the sixth year of Hongwu, this timeline marks its official establishment as a significant temple during the Ming Dynasty. Historical records indicate that during its initial construction, the temple featured "magnificently spacious halls with numerous Ming-era stone tablets documenting its renovations," showcasing its grand scale and historical importance. Additionally, Fengyang Zhongdu City God Temple held an exceptionally high status, following only the imperial system of the capital's City God Temple, ranking just below the emperor. The temple's exhibition areas include 11 individual structures such as the Zhongdu City God Hall, Ming Dynasty Integrity Culture Exhibition Hall, Ming Dynasty City God Culture Exhibition Hall, Four Stars Hall, Wealth God Hall (featuring Ming Dynasty coin culture), Matchmaker Hall, and Guan Yu Hall. Together, these buildings form the temple's rich views and cultural significance. As a key cultural attraction in Fengyang, the temple draws numerous visitors. Its unique architectural style and deep cultural significance have established it as a new cultural landmark for leisure and tourism in Fengyang.Fengyang · 2 km from downtown

It is okay to climb up and have a look. Langya Pavilion is a modern reconstruction, and the base of the stone pagoda in front of Bixia Palace is a cultural relic from the Northern Song Dynasty.

It is across the street from Taiping Ancient Town and Wu Jingzi's Former Residence! Not many people there, and it's free, so it's suitable for a quiet stroll without any expectations. On the contrary, I feel very happy. The Taiping Ancient Town opposite is really just for a stroll, it's too desolate.

Langya Temple is not only a pilgrimage site for Buddhists, but also a good place for tourists to explore history and culture. There are many cultural relics and natural attractions in the temple, such as Mingyue Pool, Zhuoying Spring, Guiyun Cave, Xuehong Cave, etc. These attractions not only show the historical and cultural heritage of Langya Temple, but also provide tourists with a rich tour experience.

My second visit to West Lake was great; the boat tour was excellent. The dock was easy to find, the staff were very friendly, provided clear explanations, and helped with any issues. There were also sightseeing buses, which were nice but a bit pricey. Taking the boat tour and then walking around was both perfectly fine.

Niushou Mountain boasts not only stunning natural scenery but also a rich historical and cultural background. It is one of the important origins of Chinese Chan (Zen) Buddhism, and during the Tang Dynasty, it was considered one of the three major "sacred sites" of Chinese Buddhism, along with Qingliang (present-day Wutai Mountain in Shanxi) in the northwest and Emei (present-day Emei Mountain in Sichuan) in the southwest. Visiting the Buddha Palace, from the outside in, from top to bottom (3 floors above ground and 6 floors underground), I was deeply awestruck by its breathtaking beauty! It's hard to imagine that such a magnificent religious building was constructed using an abandoned mine pit! Reaching a depth of 60 meters, it was completed and opened to the public in 2015, taking seven years to build and costing a total of 4 billion yuan. This gem-like scenic spot is only a national 4A-level attraction—truly an understatement!

Zunyang Street in Chuzhou City, despite having many old houses and historical anecdotes, lacks shops and popularity. Local cultural and tourism authorities could invest more in developing it, if conditions permit. This way, tourists visiting Langya Mountain Scenic Area could easily stroll, eat, and relax here, as it's on the same route as Langya Mountain and close to Chuzhou North Railway Station, making it convenient.

Few people go to this place, but it is a nice place. It is not too high. It is great to go hiking in the cool autumn weather. But the mountain and water cleaning must keep up. Many rest areas are full of garbage. I hope it will be better next time.
