The park is very well maintained, this visit is well worth it, you can get very close to the animals and it wasn't too crowded.

I was so lucky to have met such a wonderful tour guide, Guide Rao! He was incredibly warm, attentive, and dedicated. His explanations were vivid, his Mandarin was perfect, and he was knowledgeable and humorous. He thoughtfully arranged a Didi ride this morning for our day trip to the Panda Base and Dujiangyan. Guide Rao led us, making the most of every minute to see so many adorable giant and red pandas. He knew each one intimately. In the afternoon, we visited the Dujiangyan Irrigation System, a World Heritage Site, and experienced the incredible wisdom of the ancients in water management. Guide Rao was professional and reliable, his explanations were lively and easy to understand, and he clearly explained the history and principles of Dujiangyan. He also thoughtfully reminded us of important points along the way. The tour lasted over four hours, and it was a pure sightseeing experience with no shopping or hidden costs. The itinerary was smooth, making the trip worry-free and effortless. It's a highly recommended day trip for anyone visiting Chengdu! Thank you, Guide Rao, for your professionalism and dedication.

Reviews: Chengdu panda valley + red panda park 1-day tour includes door-to-door pickup
Guest User2026-09-18
Highly recommended! The driver was very friendly and helpful. They adapt to your schedule and needs. Panda Valley is quieter and greener. Although there are a lot of people, you can still walk around comfortably. Red Panda Forest is incredible, almost empty; there were only four of us in the entire park. The pandas roam freely and you can see them up close. Just a heads-up: there are a lot of mosquitoes!

Reviews: Panda Base + Dujiangyan Day Trip ◆ Small group tour (7 people or less) (English-speaking guide optional + Sichuan cuisine experience)

We had the best time and comfortable pace with Lee. She came early to meet us at our hotel and constantly check on us during the trip if the pace was OK etc. Ample chances to stop for toilet breaks and snacks etc. Lee was super knowledgeable, spoke excellent English and could explain everything clearly. She was super efficient and navigated the paths inside Panda research center very well and we saw many many pandas which were active!! What a treat! Also for Dujiangyan, she took us from the peak walking down to the various paths and definitely well planned and time executed well! Superb job, well done Lee and driver was doing a great job too. Will definitely recommend to friends and rebook in future when travels bring me back to Chengdu! Thank you Lee!
