Guangyou Temple was first built in the Han dynasty and is one of the earliest temples to appear after Buddhism was introduced to China, flourishing during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Guangyou Temple'sZhonghua Squareis crowned by a huge bluestone archway with five gates and six pillars, an imposing sight. The Shakyamuni Buddha statue enshrined in the temple is a world-famous wooden gilded seated statue. Guangyou Temple is grand and majestic. The bluestone archway in front of the mountain gate is 34m wide and 16m high, with five gates and six pillars. Its large form and exquisite carvings make it a masterpiece among Chinese stone archways. On both sides of the mountain gate stand bronze sculptures. The left depicts chariots and horses on the move, borrowed from tomb murals of chariots and horses dating to the Two Han periods, and through the lively scene of a Liaodong official hastily riding in their carriage, the work vividly showcases the Han and Wei style that once dominated a corner of northeast Xiangping. The right depicts an immortal ascending on a crane, drawn from folk legends.Liaoyang · 5.2 km from downtown

The rebuilt Guangyou Temple covers an area of 60,000 square meters and a building area of 20,000 square meters. From south to north, the archway, mountain gate, Heavenly King Hall, Great Hall, Ten Thousand Buddha Pavilion, Ganlu Ordination Platform, and Three Treasures Building were designed and built on the central axis of the temple. On the east and west sides, there are bell towers, drum towers, stele corridors, and east and west side halls. In the west of the temple, there is a separate courtyard, Yuantong Zen Temple.

The scenic area isn't very large, but it has a rather delicate feel. The boat tour takes about 15 minutes. There are many photo spots, making it suitable for those who like to take pictures. I watched about four performances, including interactive ones and fire-breathing shows.

I was surprised to find such a white pagoda in Liaoyang City. This pagoda is over 800 years old, remarkably well-preserved, and very beautiful. Walking around it offers different views from every angle, all of which are fantastic; highly recommended. The park itself isn't large, but it has a wonderful atmosphere. There are other antique-style buildings alongside the pagoda, creating a harmonious ambiance. The South Manchuria Railway Library is also worth a visit if you have time. The park features a fountain show in the evening, which is very charming. There are also food stalls and a children's playground, but we didn't have time to explore and experience the prices. Overall, the park is fantastic; strolling through it and soaking in the local atmosphere is well worth the experience. Best of all, it's free! Highly recommended.

Having visited many zoos, I highly recommend this one. It's located in the scenic Longding Mountain Scenic Area of Liaoyang (free admission). Not many tourists, and the animals are very intelligent. There's a lion dad sleeping soundly on his back 🦁 and lion cubs diligently performing (30 yuan for full interaction). There's a white fox with a charming head tilt 🦊. There's a proud white peacock 🦚. There's a wolf 🐺 and a sheep 🐑 in a fairytale romance, defying societal norms. There's a sheep 🐑 with a rather strange appearance. There are birds huddled together, timid, and also birds 🦉🦅 that look rather ominous at first glance. It's highly recommended!

Hall display: A hoard of coins from the Jin Dynasty was unearthed in Yongchang Yaju, Liaoyang. There are more than 10 tons of coins, 36 kinds. The earliest is from the Han Dynasty, and the latest is the Dading Tongbao of the Jin Dynasty. Among them, the Northern Song Dynasty coins account for the majority. It may be the treasury of the Huiyi Office of Dongjing Prefecture in the Jin Dynasty or a private merchant. It is the largest known hoard of coins in Liaoning Province.

Overall, I'm very satisfied. However, with the weather getting cooler, it would be better if there were buses with soft seats, as they're too cold. Also, I hope the staff operating the shuttle buses could have better service and not be so rude.

The Cao Xueqin Memorial Hall was built on the site of the Wu Mansion, a Qing Dynasty building, to commemorate Cao Xueqin's ancestral home in Liaoyang. The name of the hall was inscribed by the scholar of *Dream of the Red Chamber*, Feng Qiyong. The hall houses and exhibits historical archives related to the Cao family, the Cao family genealogy, Qing Dynasty court archives, and other documents, tracing the Cao family's history from its rise to prominence after "following the emperor into the Central Plains" in Liaoyang.

We had a lot of fun. It's the best ski resort near home. The weather was a bit warmer when we went there, so the snow quality was not as good as when it was cold, but it was acceptable. The children were very happy. We look forward to winter and will come again!
