Things to do in Linjiang

It's best to arrive early during holidays; they say it gets completely congested in the afternoons during the National Day holiday. The one-way traffic system prevents backtracking; you can stop, play for a while, then drive on and play again – the organization is quite scientific. The staff are very responsible in directing traffic. There are only so many parking spaces inside; you can only move forward after the people in front have finished playing and left. The core area is the alpine meadow, and at the end there's a small grove and a viewing platform. On a clear day, you can see Changbai Mountain (the snow-capped peak in picture 6) slightly to the east and south from the viewing platform – a truly delightful surprise.

There's no entrance fee; admission is free. A visit takes about half an hour. It's 500 meters from National Highway G331, so you can stop by if you're passing by.

Located deep in the mountains of Jilin, Songling area is dominated by characteristic snow villages. The villages are peaceful and tranquil, with snow, houses, cedars, etc. integrated into one, like a beautiful picture scroll, which is very worthy of being photographed by photography enthusiasts!

The island is covered with green plants and has a beautiful environment. People come and go along the Yalu River, taking photos. You can see the foreign scenery on the other side. The air is fresh. Walking on the road around the island, you can smell the fragrance of flowers and listen to light music. Some people are running, walking, and exercising. It is really a good place to relax.

The Shenyang Imperial Palace is also very large; by the end, I was completely exhausted. Inside the scenic area, there's Zhang Xueliang's former residence, and a financial museum was included as a bonus. All of these were quite interesting and worth seeing.

There were so many people and tourists that I didn't have time to take in many things. It's like a low-end version of the Forbidden City in Beijing. Many of the artifacts on display were discarded from the Forbidden City. Some rooms were off-limits, so people crowded around the entrances to take photos. There was no lighting inside, so the photos didn't look great. The architecture is still quite distinctive.

Changbai Mountain, true to its name, is incredibly clean! The restrooms in all areas were spotless, with sensor-activated flushes and hot water for handwashing – a truly touching experience for an autumn/winter trip. The restrooms had different themes, such as sables and black bears, adding a touch of vibrancy. We arrived a little late; most of the leaves had fallen, and it was the dry season, so the waterfalls weren't at their most beautiful. The small Tianchi Lake wasn't worth visiting yet; it's small, the water quality is so-so, and the surrounding forests are bare. Overall, the autumn air was crisp and clear. The 50-kilometer stretch from the distribution center to the transfer center was beautiful, vibrant with color, and Tianchi Lake was stunning. I especially loved the forest at the bottom of the valley; the pine scent was wonderful! I highly recommend walking to the end; there are vast, fairytale-like forests there, and we were lucky enough to encounter foxes and quite a few chipmunks along the way!
