The Shuanglong Cave Scenic Spot features a water-filled karst cave. The name Shuanglong, which translates to double dragon, comes from the stalactites resembling dragon heads that guard the entrance to the cave. The cave's outer entrance is warm in the winter and cool in summer. Visitors can gladly escape from the outside heat when visiting in the summer. To enter the cave's interior, visitors must lie down in a boat that travels through the stalactites. It's an exciting and unforgettable experience.Jinhua · 37.6 km from Wuyi

West Lake

West Lake is undoubtedly the epitome of Hangzhou's beauty. The famous "Ten scenes of West Lake" surround its shores, where nature and culture complement each other, forming the core area of Hangzhou tourism. You don't need to visit every attraction - instead, spend half a day or a full day strolling along the lake. However you choose to enjoy it, the experience will surely lift your spirits. West Lake is the core attraction of Hangzhou, surrounded by clouds and mountains on three sides and the city on one side. The Su Causeway and Bai Causeway stretch across the lake, dividing it into several water areas. The lakeside scenery is highlighted by the "Ten Scenes of West Lake" from the Southern Song Dynasty, along with the later "New Ten Scenes" and "Three Additional Scenes," featuring over a hundred attractions along the shore and mountains. Pavilions, temples, pagodas, gardens, causeways, and islands complement the distant mountains and nearby waters, while legends like the Broken Bridge where Lady White Snake met Xu Xian add a layer of storytelling to the landscape. West Lake extends east from Songmuchang in Hangzhou and the north of Baolu Road turning to Shaoniangong Square, passing Baisha Road, Huancheng West Road, Hubin Road, and Nanshan Road to the south of Wansong Ridge, covering all attractions including Wu Mountain, Ziyang Mountain, and Yunju Mountain. To the south, it stretches from Gulou along the eastern foothills of Wu Mountain, Ziyang Mountain, and Yunju Mountain, passing Fengshanmen and Fenghuangshan Road, then following the West Lake water diversion channel to the north bank of the Qiantang River, turning to the Coral Sand Reservoir and ending north of Liufangling. To the west, it runs from Liufangling, Zhugan Mountain, Jiuqu Ridge, and Mingren Ridge to Meiren Peak, Beigaofeng, Lingfeng Mountain, and east of the ridge line of Laohe Mountain. To the north, it follows the foothills of Laohe Mountain (west wall of Zhejiang University), turns 30 m north of Qingzhiwu Road, connects to Yugu Road, Zhejiang University Road, and Shuguang Road, ending south of Songmuchang. West Lake has over 100 attractions, renowned for its "Ten scenes of West Lake", "New ten scenes of West Lake" and "Three reviews · Ten scenes of West Lake". West Lake overview You can explore West Lake on foot, by cruise, on electric bikes, via self-drive, or by riding. Among these, electric bikes are the most convenient and effortless option, with hop-on-hop-off sightseeing vehicles circling the entire lake. Riding along the lakeshore is romantic and leisurely, with many public bike rental spots available. For a boat tour, there are nearly 10 docks around the lake offering various vessels and routes. We highly recommend taking a cruise to Three Pools Mirroring the Moon at the lake center while enjoying the scenic views. Alternatively, you can hail a hand-rowed boat for a more flexible experience with a boatman guiding your tour. North line scenery The north shore of West Lake gathers quite a few attractions, usually starting from the remnant snow on broken bridge at the northeast corner and heading west all the way to Yuewang Temple. You can walk along Bai Causeway to Solitary Hill, visiting cultural attractions like Xiling Seal Engravers' Society, Zhejiang Provincial Museum, Chinese Seal Art Museum, and Zhongshan Park's Crane Pavilion. Enjoy authentic West Lake vinegar fish at Louwailou Restaurant, then cross Xiling Bridge to leave the island - Yuewang Temple and Breeze-ruffled lotus at Quyuan Garden are just a short distance away. If it's a summer day with strong sunlight, it is recommended to stroll along Beishan road, hiding under the dense shade of trees to admire the curve of Broken bridge and the swaying weeping willows on Bai causeway opposite. There are many entrances along the way leading to Precious stone hill, where you can hike for views, and descend to reach Yuewang temple. Yuewang square has many small shops for snacks, and the Impression West Lake show here in the evening is also worth watching. If you have ample time and energy, you can also head to Su causeway from here for a walk to enjoy the panoramic view of West Lake. Southeast coast (Lakeside-Nanshan Road) Another area with a concentration of attractions is the Hubin Road-Nanshan Road along the southeastern coast. Hubin Road is located at the junction between Hangzhou's urban area and the attraction, offering views of West Lake, a dock for West Lake cruises, and the iconic music fountain. The advantage of Hubin Road is its quick access from the attraction to the downtown business district, making it suitable for travelers with a tight itinerary to make a short stop. Head south from Hubin road and walk along Nanshan road, where you can visit attractions like Orioles singing in the willows, Long bridge, Leifeng pagoda, Evening bell at Nanping hill, and Viewing fish at flower harbor. The distance between adjacent attractions is not far, so you can walk or take a sightseeing bus or public transport, which are also convenient. You can arrange a day to visit a few of them according to your preference. Among them, Leifeng pagoda and Evening bell at Nanping hill can be visited in the evening. Listening to the bell at Jingci temple and overlooking the night view of West lake from Leifeng pagoda are both great experiences.China · Hangzhou

Hengdian World Studios

Hengdian World Studios is located in Hengdian Town, Dongyang, in central Zhejiang Province, adjacent to Yiwu, which is famous for its small commodity market. It is one of the largest film and television shooting bases in China and is known as "China's Hollywood." It is not actually a single city, but rather composed of multiple attractions scattered throughout and around the town, such as the Qin Palace, Ming and Qing Palace Garden, Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival, Guangzhou Street/Hong Kong Street, and Dream Valley. Qin and Han palaces, Song Dynasty streets, Ming and Qing palaces, and modern trading ports are all gathered in one town, making walking through it feel like traveling back and forth between different dynasties. Films such as "Hero," "The Promise," and "Curse of the Golden Flower" were born in the Qin Palace, while hit palace dramas like "Palace," "Empresses in the Palace," and "Scarlet Heart" were mostly filmed in the Ming and Qing Palace Garden. It is a unique daily scene here to frequently bump into film crews at work on the streets and see extras dressed in ancient costumes passing by. Each attraction has distinct highlights: The Qin palace was built for filming "The emperor and the assassin," featuring imposing high platforms and grand halls—the iconic sword duel scene from "Hero" was shot here, now adapted into the live stunt show "Heroes' duel." The riverside scene at Qingming festival attraction brings Zhang Zeduan's Northern Song Bianliang to life, with rainbow bridges, Bian river, and Song-dressed NPCs roaming among taverns and teahouses; its signature performance "Dream of Bianliang" recreates bustling street life through ancient magic tricks. The Ming-Qing palace emulates Beijing's forbidden city with layered vermilion walls and golden roofs—familiar sights for fans of Qing dynasty dramas—while the multimedia show "Forbidden city chronicles" condenses centuries of imperial history. Guangzhou street·Hong Kong street revives old Canton and colonial Hong Kong (1840s-early 20th century), featuring the lively aquatic action show "Raging sea rivalry." Other areas include Dazhi temple, Pingyan cave dwellings, and Chinese cultural park—each offering unique exploration. The attractions are some distance apart, so you can usually only visit two or three in a day. If you have enough time, consider staying overnight: explore palaces and encounter film crews during the day, then head to the dream valley themed around nightlife in the evening. Besides amusement facilities, it features live performances, "The dream of Taiji" and "Mountain torrents", which are the highlights of Hengdian at night. The film studio has so many attractions that a 1-day tour may only cover 2-3 attractions. If time permits, we recommend staying overnight to explore at a leisurely pace and catch more shows—only then can you truly experience the charm of Hengdian.Dongyang · 55.4 km from Wuyi

Mount Huangshan is famous for its long history. "You would not want to visit mountains after visiting the Five Sacred Mountains, and you would not want to visit the Five Sacred Mountains after visiting Huangshan." Xu Xiake, a great traveler and geographer of the Ming Dynasty, twice ascended Huangshan to witness its magnificence, exclaiming it as "a wonder in life." Dramatic Pines, grotesque rocks, sea of clouds, and hot springs are known as the “Four Musts” of Huangshan. They are the uncanny workmanship of nature and cannot be missed. In addition, the haze, snow scene, and sunrise are unique landscapes of Huangshan. Each landscape has its unique beauty and makes you feel like you are in a fairyland.China · Huangshan City

Vagoo is located in Wangxian Township, Guangxin District, Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province. It is a national AAAA-level scenic spot. It belongs to the Lingshan Mountains, just at the foot of the seventy-two peaks of Lingshan. The valley is remote and quiet, the stream is jubilant, and the pebbles are flying waterfalls. There are rammed earth walls, bluestone roads, yellow walls and black tiles, and original village houses unique to Jiangxi folk houses; there are also pines and bamboo seas and the unique Ganjia market. In the Vagoo, you can enjoy the folk customs, landscape and humanities of the Gan family, experience the long farming culture of our country, taste delicious food, and live a slow life for a few days. It is a good place for leisure, vacation, and parent-child study.China · Shangrao

Huangling Ancient Village is a typical mountain village, Souvenir by thousands of ancient trees and tens of thousands of acres of terraced fields, creating a idyllic mountain life like a paradise. It has a beautiful natural environment and rich history and culture. It is a famous historical and cultural village in ancient Huizhou. The ancient village of Huangling hangs on the cliff, and the ground is not flat for three feet. For hundreds of years, the villagers have been accustomed to "communicating" with the rugged terrain with a peaceful mentality, painting a picture of "people drying their crops in the sun in autumn". In March, rapeflowers are in full bloom on tens of thousands of acres of terraced fields in Huangling, dotted with pink peach blossoms and snow-white pear blossoms, forming a beautiful ink painting. Here, you can become one with nature and have close contact with the sea of flowers. At the end of March, the second phase of Huangrapeling Gaoling Terraced Fields Flower Sea came online. Due to the large altitude difference, low temperature, and late-maturing rapeseed varieties, the flowering period is relatively late, and the second phase of the flower sea can last until mid-April. Come to Huangling in summer and start a wonderful summer night trip. Take a look at the night view of the ancient village, feel the sunset glow of Huangling, the lights of thousands of houses, walk on the country road with the dancing and circling 100-meter-long dragon, stroll in the quaint streets with a lantern, feel the romance of the magic forest, watch a retro old movie at the entrance of the village, and visit the cool market in the countryside. As soon as the beginning of autumn arrives, the ancient village of Huangling becomes a drying field. Come to the people who dry autumn leaves to admire the red maple leaves, enjoy the autumn leaves drying on the roof, the maple forest is dyed red, experience the folk customs, hand-cranked windmills, pumpkin traps, etc., and feel the nostalgic charm of the people who dry autumn leaves. In winter, every household in Huangling is busy drying and processing traditional local specialties for New Year's goods. The roofs are full of preserved meat customs, "drying" folk customs and "celebrating" the harvest, which means a bumper harvest in the New Year. With the arrival of the Winter Solstice, the Huangling Folk Culture Festival begins and lasts until the Lantern Festival next year. Here, you can listen to operas, visit the market, taste food, and taste the folk customs of the New Year; bask in the warm sun, cook tea around the stove, enjoy the elegant winter things, invite family and friends to take a health-preserving warm soup, and enjoy a winter-limited snow scene. In Huangling, you can enjoy the beautiful rural scenery and experience the modern urban life. You can see the exquisite and simple Huizhou century-old houses as well as the fashion and elegance of star-rated hotels. In Huangling, tourists can not only taste authentic folk snacks such as steamed cakes, Qingming fruit, gray juice fruit, etc., but also participate in the whole process of making folk snacks and handicrafts.China · Wuyuan

Since ancient times, the ancient city of Wuzhou has been famous in the south of the Yangtze River for its dual-city structure (sub-city and prefectural city). The sub-city was built in the third year of Chuping in the Eastern Han Dynasty (192), and the prefectural city was built in the third year of Tianfu in the Tang Dynasty (903). It was renovated many times during the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. After the renovation during the Shunzhi period, it was known as "the city of Liangzhe is the first". It was once a gathering place for government offices, supervisory offices, examination halls, and Confucian temples in history, and it was the political, cultural, and military center of Jinhua in all dynasties. After thousands of years of vicissitudes, the ancient city of Wuzhou has withstood the ravages of war and the impact of urbanization, and the overall structure has been destroyed to a certain extent. However, Bayong Road, Jiufang Lane, Gulouli, and other blocks still preserve about 15,000 square meters of historical buildings. It is the only relatively intact one in Jinhua City, carrying the history and blood of Jinhua. The ancient sub-city is rich in history and culture, and there are a total of 54 cultural relics protection units and registered historical buildings preserved to date. There is one national key cultural relic protection site (the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom's Prince Shi Mansion), four provincial cultural relic protection sites (the Bayong Tower, Yongkang Kaoyu, the former site of the Taiwan Volunteer Corps, and the office of General Li Youbang), six municipal cultural relic protection sites (the former site of Zhejiang Chao, the General Tower, the former site of the Zhenshen Church, the former site of the Gospel Hospital, the Exhibition Hall of the Three Heroes of the He Family, and Mantang Academy), three cultural relic protection sites, and 40 registered historical buildings.Jinhua · 27.3 km from Wuyi

As someone from a AAAAA-rated hotel, I feel the bus service, reminder service, and everything else are terrible. Maybe the service at Shuanglong Cave is a little better. Moreover, there are so many ways they make money that it discourages other people from spending money. —From a solo road trip around the world, staying in hotels for hundreds of days a year, visiting all sorts of attractions, big and small, wild and unregulated. I don't have a star rating system; I judge based on different environments and circumstances. My own experience is the standard.

This is the largest ranch I've ever been to. The environment is great, there's no unpleasant smell at all, the pigs are adorable, and there are many activities for children. The sausages and steamed buns are especially delicious!

My second visit to West Lake was great; the boat tour was excellent. The dock was easy to find, the staff were very friendly, provided clear explanations, and helped with any issues. There were also sightseeing buses, which were nice but a bit pricey. Taking the boat tour and then walking around was both perfectly fine.

Highly recommended to anyone seeking nature in its most dramatic, mythic form. Standing above a churning sea of clouds as jagged granite peaks pierced the mist felt like entering a classical scroll painting come alive. One of the sights that left an impression was the quiet poetry of the ancient Huangshan pines that clung impossibly to bare vertical rock faces. Mist swirling through the valleys below was an unforgettable, almost meditative spectacle that made every single step worth the climb.

It's worth a visit. Although it's a small, undeveloped scenic area, the natural scenery is still beautiful and perfect for taking photos. The lights are quite lovely at night. The area is large, and going up and down the mountain requires some physical exertion.

This is my second time visiting Huangling. Last time I came to see the rapeseed flowers in spring, and today I came to see the autumn harvest. Each has its own unique characteristics and is beautiful, but what I like most is the architecture on Huangling! The scenic area was packed with people; I didn't expect it to be so crowded even on a normal day!

From my hotel near Wanda Plaza, it's a 1.7-kilometer walk to Wuzhou Ancient City. My first stop was the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Prince's Mansion, the residence of Li Shixian, a famous general in the later Taiping Heavenly Kingdom period. The mansion's three treasures—stone dragon carvings, painted murals, and a thousand-year-old pine tree—are well worth seeing. Next to the Prince's Mansion is the Jinhua City Museum, a large-scale museum with a rich collection, offering insights into Jinhua's past. Along the streets of Wuzhou Ancient City are many smaller museums showcasing intangible cultural heritage items and crafts, such as Jinhua ham, paper-cutting, pastries, spring paintings, and traditional Chinese medicine, leaving a deep impression of Jinhua's long history and culture.

Recommended off-the-beaten-path photo spots in the ancient city: **Dongfang Zaobai Bookstore (Baoningmen Branch)** This popular bookstore is hidden under the arch of Baoning Gate. Its design blends ancient style with modern aesthetics, and the second-floor book bar offers excellent views. **Xichun Lane** This lane features six intangible cultural heritage museums and a "cake street," offering experiences related to Wuzhou kiln, paper cutting, and Buddha's hand culture. Compared to the bustling Bayong Road, Xichun Lane is less crowded, and its bluestone paths and carved doorways exude a Jiangnan charm. On rainy days, the wet stone paths reflect the old houses, creating stunning photos when worn in Hanfu. **Jiufang Lane** This ancient lane from the Song Dynasty is now home to niche cafes and handicraft workshops. The old walls are covered in graffiti depicting swallows, koi fish, and girls in ancient costumes, radiating a sense of history. **Gulouli Cultural and Creative Entrepreneurship Park, Area A** This art space, converted from an old factory, is filled with creative installations and graffiti. The park features niche craft shops and cafes, making it a great spot for artsy young people to visit and take photos.
