Chijinxia is located in Chijin Town, Yumen City, Jiuquan. It is a Attraction built by the Chijinxia Reservoir. The reservoir is very large, about 4 kilometers long and about 1 kilometer wide. There are rivers and forests around it. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of lakes, rivers and trees that are rare in the northwest. You can also experience the passionate rafting of Chijinxia on the river. Chijinxia is also the location of the old Yumen Pass before the Han Dynasty, so the Attraction also built towers, dripping Guanyin and other cultural landscapes for viewing. The Chijinxia Attraction is about 2 kilometers long. First enter the Attraction from the gate and walk to enjoy the cultural buildings and natural scenery such as reed marshes and rose gardens on the road, then climb the reservoir dam to enjoy the scenery of the big lake, and then experience the passionate Chijinxia rafting. It takes about half a day to play in the entire Attraction. The Attraction is located on the north side of the reservoir. When you drive near the Attraction, you can see that the surrounding scenery suddenly changes from the desolate Gobi in the northwest to the beautiful scenery of trees in the riverside oasis. Entering the Attraction from the north gate, you can first see several colorful dragon sculptures on the opposite mountain, which is also the iconic sculpture of Chijinxia Scenic Attraction. Entering the Attraction, there are cultural buildings such as Yumen Pass, Xuantong Tower, and Zhaogong Temple built by the river, but they are basically new buildings and there are no historical sites. Next to it is a paradise for children, where you can enjoy water world, bumper cars and other entertainment projects. On the mountain opposite the river bank, you can experience the high-altitude zip line in the Attraction, which is thrilling. The suspension bridge on the river is dozens of meters long, and walking on it is also a special experience. Going forward along a ramp, you can see reed marshes, red willow forests, and saxaul forests on the roadside. The scenery is quiet. In spring and summer, saxaul flowers and roses bloom here, which is very beautiful. When walking on the ramp, you can see a huge statue of dripping Guanyin opposite the river bank. The colorful statue is lifelike, spectacular and beautiful. When the ramp reaches the end, you will come to the steps of the reservoir. Upward dozens of steps to the reservoir dam, and the several kilometers long reservoir lake will come into view. The scenery is open and spectacular, and the breeze is cool and refreshing. You can also take a speedboat to tour the lake, about 20-30 yuan per person, and a motorboat is about 70 yuan per person, to experience the passion and comfort on the lake. After visiting the scenery in the Attraction, you can walk down the dam and come to the rafting place next to the dam, where you can experience the legendary "Northwest No. 1 Rafting" passionate rafting. The length of Chijinxia rafting is 6 kilometers, which takes about 1.5 hours. It is surrounded by oasis scenery by the river, fresh and beautiful. The river is not deep and very safe, so everyone will play more wantonly. People often jump off the boat and stand in the river to splash water. The Attraction will also arrange special people to splash water by the river to add passion to the rafting. At the end of the rafting, there is a Complimentary Attraction shuttle bus to Complimentary tourists back to the gate of the Attraction, where they can continue to visit or leave the Attraction.Yumen · 34.4 km from downtown

At the western end of the Hexi Corridor, a square, earthen-yellow fortress stands silently in the howling wind. This is Yumen Pass, a majestic pass that, though not named for jade, is immortalized by poetry. Yumen Pass witnessed the glorious chapters of the Silk Road. Silk and porcelain from the east, jade and fine horses from the west, were exchanged here, completing the exchange of material goods and civilization. It was not only a geographical boundary but also a hub of culture and economy. Today, as a key site of the World Heritage Site "Silk Road," Yumen Pass, like a silent historian, tells the story of exchange and perseverance in its simple form. It reminds us that true strength often lies not in impregnable fortifications or sharp blades, but in the resilience of civilizations displayed through collision and fusion. Standing before the pass, with the fierce wind on our faces, we seem to hear not only the echoes of history but also humanity's unyielding desire to connect with the world—the legacy that Yumen Pass leaves to us after two thousand years.Yumen · 34.6 km from downtown

This is a nearly wild scenic spot with irregular opening hours. You must have an off-road vehicle to enter, and there are no road signs. It is easy to drive around and lose track of the scenic spot. But there are few people and the scenery is beautiful, and you feel that the world is yours. Moreover, the Danxia landform, wave rock, petrified wood, and crater inside were all formed in ancient times, which makes people feel the vicissitudes of life and the insignificance of human beings. Compared with the bustling famous scenic spots, this place feels like a tour, and it is also the meaning of self-driving tours.

In Yumen City, at the highway rest stop, from west to east, oncoming cars can cross the street. There are several oil extraction machines at the door. However, the door is closed for maintenance.

The desolate and timeless beauty of Yumen Pass is beyond words. Standing here, the Yellow River flows far into the white clouds, and a lone city stands amidst towering mountains. Why should the Qiang flute lament the willows? The fact that the spring breeze does not reach Yumen Pass is a tangible manifestation of this.

After several years of repair, it is finally completed. Today, I went there and was told that you can visit it on the morning of August 15th and experience it from 16th to 18th. I don’t know if it is true or not, so I will go there tomorrow to find out.

Remember to wear sand-proof shoe covers! You can buy them at the scenic area; they're usually cheaper than online. There are four trails to the top of the mountain. The sunset view is beautiful, and the panoramic view of Crescent Lake from Crescent Pavilion is also great! 👍 I recommend entering the scenic area after 4 PM. There's also camel riding available. It's not too crowded during the off-season. The only downside is that only the lights are on at 7 PM; there's no drone show. The ticket price is a bit expensive. Overall, I'm satisfied.

The terrain is very distinctive. The planned route was: North Gate → No. 2 Fairy Terrace (close-up view of the textures, portrait photography) → No. 1 Sea of Clouds Terrace (highest point, panoramic S-curve photography) → No. 5 Brocade Terrace (view the classic "streaky pork" colors) → No. 4 Rainbow Terrace (sunset hotspot, the grand finale). I focused on experiencing No. 1 and No. 4; the scenery was indeed beautiful.
