#September2025 The Gefjön Fountain is a large bronze sculpture by Danish sculptor Anders Bungaar, located in the Nagdijk Park in Copenhagen, Denmark. The fountain depicts the Norse mythological goddess Gefjön and her four sons plowing a field, which represents the Danish island of Zealand. Water gushes from the nostrils of oxen, creating a cascade into a granite pool. According to Norse mythology, King Gorr of Sweden promised the goddess Gefjön a piece of land, but she had to plow it within a day and a night. The goddess then transformed her four sons into four oxen, who used the plow to create Zealand, the island where Copenhagen is located. #Copenhagen #NorseMythology #Fountain
