Things to do in Yixing

Yaohu Town is truly wonderful. I highly recommend visiting in the evening to experience both daytime and nighttime beauty. The cobblestone streets, the ancient buildings along the water, and the occasional rowing boat gliding across the surface create a truly immersive Jiangnan water town experience. At night, the town lights up, creating a gentle and tranquil atmosphere. The fireworks show and the lake light show, with their interplay of light and shadow against the ancient architecture, evoke the grandeur of the Tang Dynasty.

The scenic area is quite large, and the cable car saved us the trouble of climbing the mountain. Strolling through the bamboo forest was very pleasant. The electric cart drivers were also quite helpful. It would be even better if the road signs between attractions were clearer, as it was always confusing to find the right way at intersections.

The environment is so-so, but it's quite fun. Han Meilin's design, in particular, is very trendy and interesting. The history museum teaches you about the development history and knowledge of Yixing ceramics, and introduces some famous figures. While ceramics aren't as popular now, some of their names still ring a bell, like Gu Jingzhou. Tickets are only 5 yuan, and parking is free, so it's definitely worth a visit.

Overall, it was a good experience. Strolling through Shanjuan Cave in a light drizzle had a unique charm. I visited more than 30 years ago, and this time I found it had changed a lot. The scenic area is well-developed, and the paths are much easier to navigate. The only thing I think needs improvement is Luoyan Mountain, which you can take the cable car up to. There's not much to see on the mountain, mainly just a small pavilion. It would be better if there were more attractions to visit.

The scenery inside the cave is mostly man-made and just average. This scenic area is more suitable for family trips with children. For example, adults are not very interested in rafting and boating, but children can enjoy them. If you want to explore the entire cave, you need to climb a mountain, and the steps are quite steep. I don't recommend bringing elderly people with mobility issues or infants.

Going after the Spring Festival meant it wasn't as crowded, making for a much better experience. The town has NPCs who interact with you in the morning and afternoon, creating a great atmosphere. The evening shows are all excellent; it was my first time seeing a robot performance up close, and the fireworks and drone show added to the festive spirit. I recommend arriving early to get a better seat in the inner area.

蜀山古南街，这样逛体验感最好|||整条街不长，建筑很有江南水乡的风格和花岗石的地面相呼应很古朴。整条街上都是大大小小的店铺，里面各式各样的紫砂壶、紫砂杯、紫砂茶宠摆件……还有的匠人正在制作这紫砂作品，满满的匠心匠艺。如果你想淘一件称心如意的紫砂作品，这里是一个不错的选择。这里咖啡店小吃店都蛮多的，环境不错，兜累了随便找一家就可以坐着。很惬意。喜欢DIY的，有兴趣可以自己做一个紫砂作品，零基础的建议做一个品茗杯吧，1小时就可以完成，价格大概120元左右。如果想要挑战一下可以做一把茶壶，不过制作时间是按照小时为单位计算的呢，个人感觉性价比不高，但体检感拉满。具体看预算！哈哈哈这里拍照很出片哦，想要拍照的可以早点去，或者晚点走，等人少一点。更喜欢雨后的古街，多了一份宁静致远的感觉。这里的停车场都是免费的哈！

A day trip to Yixing Pottery Ancestor Sacred Site was a wonderful experience. The karst cave was incredibly relaxing and cool. The bamboo walkway offered panoramic views of the bamboo forest, the boat ride was a favorite with the kids, and there were also pottery workshops. Overall, the trip was packed with activities and I was very satisfied.

I traveled during the National Day holiday. The area is large, but it didn't feel overly crowded. I could walk around at my own pace, and the performances were quite good. The climb wasn't tiring at all; I feel like someone who walks a lot doesn't need a sightseeing bus.

The No. 2 Pottery Factory boasts a beautiful environment and fresh air. In particular, the management department continuously introduces new tourism projects, ensuring a fresh experience for visitors. A wide variety of local snacks are available, and the diverse range of ceramic products will leave you wanting more.
